Clearly an Earth Release technique. Should be renamed Earth Release: Whack-A-Mole Technique. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 21:34, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

The thing is that Tobi himself calls it "Ninja Art: Whack-A-Mole Technique". Jacce | Talk 07:52, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

Funny, but probably not very effective at damaging. Nat12345919 (talk) 17:19, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

could be effective if a serius person using a real weapon was using the jutsu.Linkdarkside (talk) 20:57, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Name

Why is it still 'Whac' if it's 'Whack'? Fix please --Kiadony (talk) 14:04, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Whac-a-mole. If Viz wants to spell it wrong thats their problem.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 15:26, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough. --Kiadony (talk) 17:16, December 16, 2009 (UTC)

Canon?

Isn't this an anime-only technique? I never seen Tobi/Madara do this in the manga. —This unsigned comment was made by Alexdhamp (talkcontribs) .

The infobox is there for a reason. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:52, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Earth Release?

Watching the anime, I noticed that Tobi was using this technique to burst out of large tree branches, and not just the ground. With that in mind, wouldn't that make it inaccurate to call this technique an Earth Release? He also referred to it as 'Ninpou' rather than 'Doton'. With the rapidity with which he moved around the battlefield to cut off each of Kakashi's group, it seems more likely to be related to his use of Kamui imo.
