Water Release

Is it safe to assume that one of Utakata's natures is water? I mean, how else are bubbles formed? I'm just saying that it is a fact. --NejiByakugan360 14:13, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

No. He might have some trick to making the bubbles. That may be his own Hiden jutsu. —This unsigned comment was made by MangekyouFreak96 (talkcontribs) on 14:16, 24 August 2009 (UTC).
bubbles are formed when you mix up water and soap and these bubbles are done by putting the flute in the pot where these2 different things are mixed up and then you blow(with your breath)and bubbles come out Sartorias (talk) 14:16, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
The answer is no, it isn't safe to assume Utakata was Water natured. It is quite likely that he was, but there is no hard evidence for it. The bubbles he used could have been Water Release, but they could also have been tool-based, or even an entirely new nature. We simply do not know. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 14:59, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

He probably uses water release through his mouth into the flute and bubbles come from the other end. Kouseki (talk) 05:21, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

No, he made a mistake it came from the second fanbook that came out in japan a week ago thats how we got the names of Raikage: Kuro-Tsu, Mizukage: Mizuchi, and it tells the abilities of Utakata and Han. Kouseki (talk) 21:42, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
I have yet to see any proof of information from either the second fanbook or a fourth databook being in the open. The second fanbook will not be released in Japan until 4th December and the fourth databook should come out somewhere in September 2011. There is little chance of the second fanbook revealing any new names or abilities, as things are now. Provide some proof. Some tangible evidence. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 21:48, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

Those images are adverts for the second fanbook. I translated them myself for Naruto Forums. --Seashark97 (talk) 20:19, January 28, 2010 (UTC) it is true that utakata is water-natured as he is seen in episode 145 of naruto shippuden using water style jutsus (techniques)

Utakata even said in episode 145, that the technique can only be used if you have water natured chakra. I think that's solid proof that he has water nature chakra ^_^

Anime only arc

It looks like it is legit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_aHLCY8-Vg Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:45, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

Yep looks legit. Let' see how this plays out. Should be interesting seeing another Jinchuriki, and he stands against Naruto. That's good.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 17:15, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
There's not much useful information in that promo, except that it is about the Six-Tails and Utakata and that it will air on 21 Januari 2010, 19.30.
Doesn't this filler break canon and continuity, by the way? I don't quite follow the anime, but it should be at the point that all Tailed Beasts, except the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails, have been sealed, right? --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 17:31, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
Probably. Then again, we don't know exactly WHEN the Six-Tails was sealed. Even then, we don't even know if the Six-Tails was in its jinchuriki when it was sealed. It could have been released like Yagura. (though how Utakata survived is up in the air). Though, was it said that Akatsuki had every tailed beast and they were just missing the Eight and Nine-Tails? I think Madara mentioned it when talking to Pain and Konan but I'm not sure.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 17:35, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
They've done it before. In the anime, didn't they change the order of a couple sealings? They also put quite a gap between the sealing of Two and Three Tails because of the Three Tails filler arc. And Madara told that to Taka, when he tells Sasuke to fetch him the Eight Tails. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:37, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
I know that, in the manga at least, the Three-Tails, Two-Tails, and Four-Tails were the last Tailed Beasts to be sealed, in that order. The Five-Tails, Six-Tails, and Seven-Tails were all sealed before those three. So no matter what, putting in a filler about Utakata and the Six-Tails at this point in time would be breaking with canon. It could still fit in with anime-only continuity, though. This could be checked by counting the number of eyes that are open after the last seen Tailed Beast sealing in the anime. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 17:55, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
In the anime, there was only 2 BIjuu sealed before the Ichibi. Which means the sealing order is :
Gobi or Nanabi -> Ichibi -> Nibi -> Sanbi -> Yonbi -> Rokubi
So yes, it's possible.--Yojeez (talk) 19:11, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
Not really, when sealing the Nibi, at some point, when they're about to seal the Two Tails, you can see that someone else was sealed between her and Shukaku. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:22, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

If the trailer is legit then later on, it should be noted that Utakata's sash is orange, compared to the yellow in the artbook and red on the splash page.--Shiraha Manjitomoe (talk) 19:25, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

They picked the worst possible tailed beast (and perhaps even the worst Jinchuuriki - a new Sasuke, judging from the way he acted in the few scenes seen in the trailer) for this filler... I suspected (from the title of the upcoming episodes) that a filler was approaching and I was almost positive that it would be a filler about the seven tails (remember how in the anime, every seen sealing was done in numerical order). The Flying Bug or Horse Dolphin would have been a hell lot more interesting than the Fat Slug (Katsuyu reloaded) - MadaraU (talk) 19:11, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

Don't complain at least we get 2 c at least one of the beasts rather than be left in the dark. --Gabe (talk) 20:55, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

Here they are in all their splendour :D

[1]

Let's just hope it will be a better filler than the Three Tails filler. - MadaraU (talk) 21:32, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

This doesn't contribute to the discussion very much, so I apologize, but in my opinion, it would be cool to have a more in depth arc about ALL the jinchuuriki :D I know people want to get to the story line, but in my opinion, the tailed beasts are just too cool to pass up! ^_^

Voice

Would his voice actor happen to be Kenichi Suzumura? If not then who is it.--206.248.248.218 (talk) 13:46, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Jutsu Listing

For some reason, I'm unable to add Drowning Bubble Technique to Utakata's jutsu list. Similarly, I can't add the jutsu to the derived jutsu list for the Soap Bubble Ninjutsu. I'd appreciate it if anyone could do that instead, or perhaps tell me how to do it. I used to be able to before. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 22:56, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Jutsu are now listed automatically as long as the user is given on the jutsu page. ~SnapperTo 23:08, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Suiton

It should be clear now that, at least in the anime, one of his elements is Water. He already showed the ability to drown others in his bubbles, plus he seemed to be able to create ink inside his bubbles to kill his abilities, which could be an anime variant of Suiton, like how Izumo created syrup with a Water Release. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 01:35, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

Izumo created syrup. As far as we saw, Utakata uses a bubble solution, who's to say that becoming ink isn't something already prepared into the technique? Unless he uses a technique and calls it Water Release, or someone credible calls his techniques Water Release, he shouldn't be listed as an user. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:48, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
And the drowning bit? We've seen him create bubbles without water before, yet the Drowning Bubble Technique seems to fill his bubbles up with water to drown his enemies. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 01:50, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
Like I said, if no one calls it Water Release, we can't call it either. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:52, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

There are many techniques in this Wikia that have never been given a name yet we've assumed they're of a certain nature. Water Release: Demon Fish Wave Crash to name just one. It may be painfully obvious that water's being used to perform the technique, but so is filling bubbles up with water. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 01:59, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

That jutsu is derived from Suigetsu's water form, which is known to be Water Release. That being Water Release means that every technique Suigetsu uses which includes modifying his body is also a Water Release. It's not speculation, it's logic. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 02:13, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough. But how about Gozu? Aren't most of his techniques assumed to be Earth Release? Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 02:29, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

His is like an earth form of Suigetsu's Hydration technique. Plus, he used a canon technique also known to be Earth Release, the hiding like a mole one. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:32, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
Doesn't his abilities derive from his tailed-beast? I mean yes hes using a tool but so did Gaara with his gourd, plus the beast looks made of soap.Saimaroimaru (talk) 23:07, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
The source of his abilities are unknown. The art book merely said he used bubbles, but it didn't say whether it came form the tailed beast or if it was something like hijutsu. Also, Gaara only used the gourd to stock the sand, the gourd itself also being sand. Utakata isn't making the soap solution, at least nothing so far implies it. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:21, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
I'm not saying that we should name his techniques Water Release: Whateveritis. I'm saying that his filling up his bubbles with water should be a clear indication that he's Water-natured. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 23:28, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
Jules, I get what you're saying. Utakata is clearly using water with his bubbles. However, despite that fact, we cannot automatically say that Utakata has Suiton. In a filler arc, Naruto threw a mud ball at someone, mud is clearly related to Doton, but would you say that Naruto has Doton? Wait until Utakata explicitly uses a jutsu with Suiton in the name or someone in the anime says that Utakata has Suiton. Nagihiko92 (talk) 20:24, January 25, 2010 (UTC)
Similarly, Zaku Abumi used pressurized air in his attacks. Turned out they weren't Wind Release. The most reasonable thing to do is wait. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:43, January 25, 2010 (UTC)

and its confirmed in the new episode... he used "water style: raging waves" but its probably already changed anyways.....96.51.30.22 (talk) 20:03, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

Missing Nin

Since He hasn't been seen in Kiri does that mean he is a missing nin. Kiri is known for their Hunter-Nin

It's a possibility, considering he seems to have been betrayed by his master, which could've led him to turn away from the Mist, but we don't know anything for sure yet, so until it's said, we can't make any assumptions that big. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 21:22, January 31, 2010 (UTC)

Tailed Chakra Sensing

Should it be noted somewhere that he could sense there was something "odd" about Naruto's chakra (foreshadowing that he knows what Tailed Beast chakra feels like because it has one)? I don't know where I would put that on the page but I was thinking it would go under abilities since it is similar to him being "observant" in sensing the changing chakra flow of those guys. --Akumo-San (talk) 16:58, February 1, 2010 (UTC)

what?

i've herd he is still alive.Is this true?--72.173.192.59 (talk) 01:07, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

In the current anime filler he is, which takes place prior to his actual death in the manga. Utakata is, currently, dead. Jules R. J. Blake (talk) 01:22, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

naruto- fanon

if naruto-fanon is true he is still alive in a place called bukiagature. Is bukiagature even real?--72.173.192.58 (talk) 23:20, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Naruto fanon is not true. Fanon is somthing made up by fans and has absolutly no bearing on Canon. And no Bukiagature is not real.--Twilitlink (talk) 00:14, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Here think of it like this:

Fanon = Fan Work

Canon = Created by Manga Ka

Confused About Order

I'm a bit confused with the anime and manga sealings, what was the order of the sealing in the anime. I can't get it through my head. Can someone help me? --KiumaruHamachi (talk) 19:03, February 11, 2010 (UTC)KiumaruHamachi

In the manga, by the time Sasuke got his MS, Akatsuki had captured seven tailed beasts, one through seven, eight and nine were still out there. In the anime-only arc, they changed that leaving out one more out, the Six Tails. Is that what you didn't understand or did you want to know something on the order they were sealed? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:06, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I wanted to know that and the order they were sealed in both anime and manga. Thanks. --KiumaruHamachi (talk) 19:07, February 11, 2010 (UTC)KiumaruHamachi
Take this with a grain of salt cause there has been a long time since I saw images of the sealing statue during sealings. Both in manga and anime, the latest sealed beast is the Four Tails. That makes it the seventh beast in the manga, and the sixth in the anime. When Shukaku was sealed, Akatsuki already had at least one beast, and in the max three beasts, Deidara mentioned that in another occasion a village was glad to get rid of the jinchuriki, so in the anime that makes it second or third beast, and second, third or fourth in the manga. No one knows when Five and Seven tails were sealed, both in manga and anime, Six Tails isn't known in the manga, but it'll be the seventh in the anime. Two and Three tails were sealed before Four Tails, but I'm not sure if any beasts were captured in between Two/Three and Four. Two and Three tails however were sealed in a different order though. I don't remember which was sealed when, but in one Two was sealed before Three, and in the other Three was sealed before Two. That's all I have. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:36, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, now I (kind of) understand. Since I follow both Anime and Manga, I get confused sometimes. Other times NP answers my questions. But anyways: thanks again. --KiumaruHamachi (talk) 19:39, February 11, 2010 (UTC)KiumaruHamachi

Wait, didn't someone in Akatsuki (don't remember who exactly) say that the bijuu have to be sealed in order or the statue will fall apart?

Kisame IIRC said that as well as that the 9-Tails has to be sealed last. ¥ Super Novice Talk 2 Me ¥ 20:33, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
I don't remember who said it, but what was said is that the Nine Tails has to be sealed last, they said nothing about the other beasts. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:56, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

deletion...

I edited that nonsense about rain disabling utakata's buble jutsu. It's obvious that kirisame is a Hidden jutsu of some potency and not just plain simple rain. 189.180.27.244 (talk) 08:07, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

Sealing

Okay the sealing takes place after the arc, but shouldn't it be noted that the only reason why Utakata did not find Tsurugi to talk about his former master, was because they were killed by Pain's Animal Path Giant Multi-headed dog Summoning? Pain (to me) seemed to be well into his operation of capturing Utakata and was just biding his time until he could make a move without Naruto etc. interfering. So can we assume Utakata was captured shortly after the arc's finish? Just wondering. --Sageofsixpaths (talk) 05:32, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Utakata Jinchuriki Forms

Should we create an "Utakata Jinchuriki Forms" page now? He's displayed a bit of use of his Beast's chakra...--NejiByakugan360 22:44, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

When? All I remember was one scene where he may or may not have gone Six-Tails and killed his master. But because it was a shadow nothing is certain.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 00:03, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
I think he means in 149, when he rescues Naruto. His eyes turn golden and he releases loads of orange-red chakra. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:58, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

sensory

shouldn't it be added that utakata is sensory because he noticed in episode 150 that there is a chakara flow but naruto did not notice--Seashark97 (talk) 18:59, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

That's not enough to call him a Sensor type ninja. ¥ Super Novice Talk 2 Me ¥ 19:31, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

Confusion?

I don't quite understand. Tsurugi was trying to tell Utakata that Harusame didn't betray him, and didn't try to kill him. Tsurugi was essentially trying to say the Harusame didn't want to kill him.... But.... Once a tailed beast is extracted, the jinchuuriki would die... So... Harusame would've killed him anyways :S Is that just a technical error?—This unsigned comment was made by Yipeeyiyo (talkcontribs) .

Its unknown if there is any other way of extracting a tailed beast without killing him. Maybe there is and he was trying it? Maybe he didnt know it would kill him. But he probably would have avoided death if he just explained to utakata what he was doing.Shelldone (talk) 11:10, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Haha very true! Perhaps the only one who could truly answer this question is Kishimoto! :P
