Merge Tobi page with Obito
Zetsu clone
whilst it does appear he is infront of a zetsu mayfly spiky thing bit when he is replacing his arm, stating he needs to get the Rinnegan, why is this on the main page. isnt this speculation?

"However, when seen acquiring a new arm after "detaching" his right arm due to Torune's bugs, Madara is seen standing in front of a plant-like substance similar in appearance to that of Zetsu's green flytrap-like material, which could imply he does in fact replace his limbs with said substance. Furthermore, Madara appears to leak a lighter-colored goo instead of human blood when losing his limbs. "

it reads like he is made up of zetsu's clone / body mass thing. also lighter coloured goo? instead of blood? the manga is in black and white so....where is thsi from?

I wonder if this has already been talked about before, but isn't it wrong to leave out Fire Release among Madara's Nature Transformation affinities? I did remember in a flashback in his conversation with Sasuke that he used Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique in a woodcut depiction of his engagement with enemies. There is a stylised image of an fight scene, with an Uchiha using a fire release. However, although he looks like Madara, there is no way to tell for certain. It is more likely that he was meant to be a symbolic representation for the entire Uchiha clan. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 08:03, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

::In the Manga it's only a silouette, but in the Anime they show that it was Madara using the technique. This is exactly what I feared would happen when Tobi's identity was revealed. People would jump to speculation and the process of merging the pages would be significantly slowed down. Look guys, I was never an Obitard. But it's more or less confirmed by this chapter, and it would be irresponsible not to merge the pages. Did we wait two or more chapters to see if Edo Madara was just Madara's body, and that Tobi had his soul? No. We merged them, because that's what you do when something like this is revealed. Tobi is Obito, so let's just get this over with and merge them. --M4ND0N (talk) 13:50, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Reading the manga and putting them all together...kinda makes sense. Madara already appeared as Tobi in the English anime and in many recent games. 'Madara' himself has recently appeared in the new game, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.

At one point 'Tobi' made Kabuto explain the Edo Tensi to him. Then, a few issues ago, we see that Madara knew all about the Edo Tensi and how to release himself from it. From that point onward it was clear that whoever Tobi was he was from a more recent generation.

Nothing's wrong with that, but Kakashi and Guy were about 14-15 years old at the time of the attack and that was a couple of years from the Battle of the Kannabi Bridge, so how would Obito go from the height he was then to being as tall if not taller than Minato when fighting him during the attack initiated by Tobi (Obito) using Kurama. --Senjuto 13:34, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Also this fight is the only thing keeping me from being sure my hypothesis is correct. I have called everything right about Tobi so far, except this fight. He never called himself Tobi so I thought he was the the older Tobi who i think was Madara, who met Nagato after the second war and maybe saved Obito after the bridge. But if it is Tobi my guess would be it has something to do with his body's alteration to be honest. Only one side of him looks old, the side that leaks the white substance, this makes me think that whatever that was (I think it's related to Zetsu to be honest, it fits. Just by straight facts it fits, that's why Zetsu was important).
I'd have to agree that his survival to this point probably has more to do with zetsu than how he brags about his own strong chakra... not that he isn't strong. And i always figured there must be something up with his left eye as well.

On a seperate note, I think his space time ninjutsu comes from his eternal ms. If you think about it, the only two characters to have a transplanted eye are him and kakashi, and both have developed space time nin with their eyes. so it seems it's a power one gains from transfering eyes.12.9.116.27 (talk) 06:04, September 12, 2010 (UTC) miah

But I will say this, I think it's ridiculous how the community is still speculating on whether or not he's really Obito. I know it's hard to come to terms with, but the chapter's literally called "Obito Uchiha", and his face is revealed at the end. There's no room for further discussion. any speculation we had before is gone now, and we'll get an explanation down the line. I knew he was Obito for days, so it doesn't bother me.. but yeah. Look at the Saiyan Island discussion. It's even worse. "He's the Juubi in Obito's body", "He's a Zetsu clone". Why would Kishimoto set it up like this if he isn't Obito? I don't care if people don't like it, he is who he is, and that's who he always was.. hence why Kishi covered the right side of his face during the Konan fight. It's done. He's Obito, so let's merge them. --M4ND0N (talk) 14:00, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
I think that he might have taken over Hashiramas body, as he could use the wood style to regenerate his arm and :maybe his sharingan: ... Secondly I think he still has access to many sharingan , meaning he could transplant the sharingans -maybe using mokuton- to transplant it. I think it is also possible that the sharingans lose the light temporarily as he has an eternal sharingan... that's all folks... ;-)

I believe he is Obito but I think they need to remain separate until Tobi's explained. Some of the things Tobi did, I do not think were Obito.
He needs the senju's power along with his uchiha power to use izanagi and the zetsu clones are grown or enhanced from hashirama's cells so it would make sense that he could be a zetsu clone.

There could have been TONS of "theoretical" explanations for it, but we chose to merge the articles. And let me remind you guys, that Kishi specifically said Tobi's identity would be revealed in the next few weeks. It's been 4 weeks. So we have to treat this as a revelation, and stop being prissy little whiners about his identity and stall the merging for some last remnant of hope that SOMEHOW he's Kagami or some shit. That's just not going to happen. --M4ND0N (talk) 14:05, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Judging by his fights, Madara is definetely stronger than a general jonin or high-Jonin (the ANBU personally assigned to the Hokage and Torune and Fu), but not stronger than a kage. If he had attacked the Kage summit, they too may have had a chance to react to him despite being sucked up, that is why he has not attacked them directly.

::His "charm" does not come with how powerful is he, but rather how careful and experienced he is. In fact, he lets others to do his bidding, that is his "main" talent, his manipulative abilities are without a doubt his most powerful resource, along with his knowledge, rather than having massive amounts of chakra or being physically strong. He also has an advantage few characters have, and relies on his use of Time-Space Techniques to overwhelm his opponents with the high defense and offensive it provides. Theoretically this wiki is unbiased. We get based on the manga and on the official sources and official explanations and the original plot of the manga. Today we could see how our biggest official source, the manga, said that TOBI is OBITO. Why is there any doubt to change it? Yeah, I know and I totally agree with the fact it needs MUCH MORE information and explanations. BUT it was said. If in one chapter Kakashi said "I don't like ramen" It would be considered like that, and maybe 10 chapters later he is eating it and he says "I was joking in that moment" and we would have to rechange it but we followed what the official source had said.. Just a thought, but the way Madara has been throwing his teleportation jutsu around now and during the 9 Tailed invasion, that Itachi probably knew about it and what it could do, and still thought Amataseru would work. Why was Uchiha Flame Battle Encampment removed from his jutsu list? --unknown
My theory on how Madara got away from the Amataseru was that he teleported the rest of his body except the part that got ignited, since he can teleport parts of his body away he then can teleport the majority of his body away. Reposting this from the Obito talk page. I know the majority above are already raring to merge the Tobi and Obito articles, but I must emphasize that considering the mountain of backstory necessary to bridge the time-skip between Obito's "death" and, at the earliest, Minato's confrontation with Tobi, merging everything right now can muck up the narrative of the page. I don't believe placing a few cursory paragraphs saying "Obito mysteriously surfaces back as Tobi" would suffice at this point.

I'd say we rather wait for the next chapter next week and see how the narrative bridges those intervening years. We don't even have any plausible information (yet) as to how a young Obito that died was transformed into an adult body identified to be Tobi and masquerading as Madara Uchiha. Delaying the merger is not about putting a foot on the throat of so-called "anti-Obitards" as mentioned above. If we are gunning for a seamless page, it would be most plausible and helpful for the editors to get all the fact straight. This is a wiki, after all, not a forum/gossip page where we're always gunning for "first scoop." Magatama90 (talk) 16:37, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
Konan's jutsu lasted 10mins. Madara's intangable justu only lasts 5mins. Madara probably used his intangable jutsu first, and then used Izanagi, which means he would've had time to run behind Konan after she was out of chakra and confident in his death. Also, Madara was probable caught in the explosins for seconds, explaining why his eye was showing.Jako98146

:: Again, not merging the articles right now does not mean we are sowing doubt into the reality that Tobi is Obito. What I say is that the edits should be done when information is complete (as I said, see the history of the Kabuto article). Why are you assuming for other people? Also: invoking Wikipedia is you committing a logical fallacy. The story line of Obito becoming Tobi needs to be explained better, and waiting for the next chapter is most sound. Evidence is incontrovertible with regards to the Madara/Tobi split... and the characters are pretty much different, which is why the split was easy to make. But Obito and Tobi? That key development needs better data, which the next chapter should provide. Let's not be hotheads here please. Possibly, but from the information currently known, the Ten-Tails is only needed for the infinite Tsukiyomi, not the average version. Along with his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, the mentions of his past strength and ability in using the sharingan, it would be dafe to assume that he is, or at least was capable of using Tsukiyomi. And even if he is not capable of using it at the moment, it should still be added, due to the fact that, despite no longer being able to use either, Body Shedding and Cursed Seal of Heaven are both still among the list of Sasuke Uchiha's jutsu.--<font color="#0000FF">Kagi</font><font color="#FF0000">mizu</font>-<font color="#008000">Seeya</font> <font color="#FFA500">round</font> 06:02, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

I understand there was more information to fill the gaps, since Tobi already had a sizable amount of info to stand as it's own article seperate from Madara. But we still can't let ourselves ignore content when it's there. --M4ND0N (talk) 17:12, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I agree with Magatama90 that we should not rush merging the Tobi and Obito pages into one until the backstory of how Obito became Tobi is revealed. Just because it is revealed that Tobi was revealed to be Obito, it does not mean we should just merge it immediately. There is no backstory revealed that tells us how the heck Obito became Tobi, particularly as Magatama90 shares my opinion on how Obito's body became that of a full-sized adult male. We need to be patient and see what chapter 600 and the ones that follow to see the backstory. M4ND0N, it may be completely professional as you say, but we must move with caution and be armed with the information necessary to facilitate a merger of the Tobi and Obito Uchiha pages. --Senjuto (talk) 18:26, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Those Jutsus are still listed on Sasukes page because he has shown he can use them. It's solid proof. While I do agree with the fact that Madara only needs the Ten Tails to cast the "Infinite" Tsukiyomi, he has yet to be shown just using the normal version. : How about, instead of delaying edits, delay the merge. We can still update that Tobi's mask fell off and he was revealed to be Obito, and we can edit Obito's page to include the information we received about his ninja career prior to his 'death'. Then, when it's 100% still Obito in there, the merge can be done. I understand the hesitation after the false Madara confirmation. I am a long time editor of Wikipedia, and obviously this is not Wikipedia but you could at least apply some similar standards. Even if you don't want to merge the Tobi/Obito articles, at the very least mention what happened in each article. There is a complete blackout of chapter 599 on both articles, at the very least you could put that his mask was broken and it appeared he was Obito. You have an obligation as a popular website, to keep information up to date! -147.226.196.42 (talk) 17:47, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

How can Madara's replacing his limbs be considered surgical ability or knowledge? Surgical Knowledge is the capability of performing medical operations, in Madara's case without medical ninjutsu. How he replaced his arm is entirely unknown; it can't even be clearly classified as any type of technique or jutsu. For all we know, it could be Zetsu regurgitating devoured limbs or the stored limb of a corpse (sorry for the examples, but it's to make a point). From what can be seen, Madara didn't have to perform any surgery on himself or the limb to attach it. Hardly anything's known about the procedure, so it can't be considered surgical knowledge or ability, at least until more has been seen concerning this. This also removes the confirmed information of Madara removing and preserving Itachi's eyes, transplanting said eyes to Sasuke successfully, and even, with or without assistance, transplanting his brothers eyes to himself despite blindess (the second being most likely, since no-one really knows how he got the eyes from his brother).--<font color="#0000FF">Kagi</font><font color="#FF0000">mizu</font>-<font color="#008000">Seeya</font> <font color="#FFA500">round</font> 07:17, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Adding the part that he was able to transplate his brother's eyes and then the part were there is no knowledge that he recieved help. That last part makes it to vague and too speculative. No, there is no other way for the eyes to be transplanted. In a flashback, Madara was shown about to take out his brother's eyes. In Kakashi Gaiden, Rin was shown trasnplanting Obito's eye to Kakashi. In a genjutsu, Itachi plucked out one of Sasuke's eyes. Madara had to remove and preserve Itachi's eyes for transplantation, and Sasuke was shown after the fact recovering from the surgery. If something isn't known for 100% certainty, it's decided by known information. Known information places Zetsu far from being a medic-nin (he'd sooner eat them rather than perform surgery on them), there is no other way to transplant sharingan eyes, there is no-one who could have helped Madara, and Madara is the only character so far who can perform surgery despite no medic-nin training.--<font color="#0000FF">Kagi</font><font color="#FF0000">mizu</font>-<font color="#008000">Seeya</font> <font color="#FFA500">round</font> 21:53, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

What if in chapter 600 that it reveals that Obito's body is controlled by Madara's soul/mind?
Rin was a Medic Ninja with Mystical Palm. We still have not seen any evidence so far that Uchicha Madara has the surgical ability to implant a Sharingan eye into himself or another person unaided. A flash black showing Madara about to takeout his brothers eyes is not showing him implanting it, it simply shows him reaching out to his brothers eyes. How do we know that he wasn't just taking them out and giving them to medics in his clan? We don't do we? Itachi plucking Sasukes eyes in a Genjutsu (Illusion!) is not evidence either. Madara preserving Itachis eyes does not automatically mean he himself will perform the operation. We cannot say there is no one who could help Madara, we do not know that yet. I can slightly agree to what you said about Zetsu. He is mostly for surveillance. Any how it is better to wait to find conclusive conscrete proof than jump to conclusions. It's not a big deal for it to be moved to general skills when there is so little known about his "Surgical Abilities". In any case we need to come to an agreement to avoid silly editing wars. I call for a vote, if thats possible? :)--FullMetalXY (talk) 22:07, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Merging Uchiha Madara's page with Tobi's & Obito's into one then?
You are twisting the meaning of my words. Those examples were to disprove the idea that the sharingan eyes cannot be transplanted any other way. As for getting aid from clan medics, since no-one knew how he got his brother's eyes, including his own clan, I doubt the medics assisted him. As for transplanting Itachi's eyes; there was no-one else present when the eyes were transplanted, there was no-one else present with known medical experience. I don't ever remember him stating that he himself removed the eyes (Even if he did it wouldn't denote surgical ability as he could have simply plucked them out in a similar fashion to the way Itachi did in Tsukuyomi). Nor did we actually see Madara transplant the eyes but Madara did display knowledge that he knew Sasuke needed recuperation but that was probably due to his own experience after the surgery that was done on him. And we don't know if the surgery done on him was by his own hand, by medics or was aided by some one. The same with the operation on Sasuke. So in the end its up to guessing. I'm rather disappointed with the way this issue is being handled by the wiki staff. This is a popular means of acquiring up to date information about the Naruto storyline, and here we see that the wiki isn't keeping updated?
Alright look; there was no-one else in the room when Sasuke was recuperating from the surgery. Unless there was some invisble character that will never be shown or named, Madara did it on his own. In terms of removing the eyes, I seriously doubt Madara would trust anyone else to remove the eyes. He also would have had to be able to remove the eyes without damaging them (on a side note, I find it funny how you said Tsukiyomi didn't count when I used it as an example, yet it counts for you despite still being an illusion), and would have to know how to preserve them.--<font color="#0000FF">Kagi</font><font color="#FF0000">mizu</font>-<font color="#008000">Seeya</font> <font color="#FFA500">round</font> 22:57, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

As for the Invisible Character, may be he she left after the operation since we never witnessed the operation? Whether you seriously doubt anything is irrelevant, all that matters are it is cold hard facts. When I see Madara in a doctors robe transplanting eyes is when this section will garner further merit. Tobi was revealed to be Obito in Chapter 599. We knew nothing more and nothing less.
Well you are never going to see that. However, there is a difference between assumptions, guessing, and common sense. There was no-one else seen after the surgery, so believing that someone else assisted him despite no-one being seen is more of a guess than believing Madara did it himself. As for Tsukiyomi, it goes both ways. As an illusion nothing shown in it can be taken into 100% belief.--<font color="#0000FF">Kagi</font><font color="#FF0000">mizu</font>-<font color="#008000">Seeya</font> <font color="#FFA500">round</font> 23:08, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

I think that both limb regeneration and surgical/medical skills should be mentioned. However, because limb regeneration is something we actually saw in the manga, more than once, and likely once more, since Konan trashed his arm, it should have its own section. Surgical/medical skill should be mentioned, because nothing implies Madara had help in removing, conserving and transplanting Itachi's eyes. He also had Danzo in a table, suggesting he wanted to remove Shisui's eye from him as well. I won't count the transplant of Izuna's eyes to him as an example, because that was a genjutsu flashback, and we don't know what happened in between those scenes, nor how much time passed. With Sasuke, we saw Sasuke saying he wanted the eyes, and not long after, eyes were already transplanted, and nothing suggests Madara had help. Since it's something we didn't actually see, it's something we infer from what we see, I don't think it should have its own section, being mentioned in the general skill section. You're not the one who has to update every related link and article. By waiting a bit, we can be sure that what the chapter showed is actually that, not some clever twist that'll be resolved in the opening panels of the next chapter. Merging the articles when there's a chance of requiring them to be split again is pointless. There's also the issue making sure there's no back and forth between people who are for and against the waiting, which only create unnecessary revisions of the article, not to mention pollute the recent changes page. I think the fact that no surgery has been seen is no guarantee that Madara has no skill with it, first of all he is one of, if not the most skilled characters currently active in the series and has lived longer than any other curently seen character (except maybe kakkuzu?) he had ample time in hiding to learn surgical skills. Second, surgery is a long and drawn out process, even the most simple surgical procedures take a while to do, and removal of an eye is not simple, we have seen madara preparing for surgery/autopsy on danzo, and with sasuke after his eye transplant, perhaps kishimoto simply didnt want to waste time drawing 20 odd panels detailing a surgery when showing another part of the story, and returning to madara later on gives an idea of time passing. Finally, we really have no idea what surgery actually entails in NARUTO, the same rules my not apply to human physiology, in fact we know this because there is an additional circulatory system for chakra, and kimmimaro was mentioned to have had a different physiology to most humans. im not saying he can or cant do surgery, or that he could or couldnt transfer the eyes/arms himself, im just saying the lack of evidence may just be an artistic/time based choice by Kishimoto. He might not have lost his eye when he used IZanagi. This is just a theory. When you use Izanagi with a sharingan you lose your eyes that's already proven. When you use Mangekyou Jutsus with a regular MS sharingan, the eye goes blind depending on use. The EMS no longer goes bling to Ms jutsus. So maybe Izanagi with an EMS might go blind for a certain period of time or might go blind in time, like the Ms jutsus did with a regular Ms. he probably use Izanagi on the first hokage to fake his death, and in time his eye gained its light again. I say this because maadara has been proven to be really smart in both battle tack ticks and in general life, so i don't believe he would just throw his eye away. Or he might implant Riningan in to hies left eye. rigoberto60 (talk) 01:51, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

i agree aswel, with the ems u never lose ur light, when danzo was using izangai he only had ms, so they can all go blind after its use, but cuz he cant go blind cuz of the ems, im guessing he can use izangai as much as he wants, but not to the extent he would like, or else he would hav used it on the 4, remeber he got his ems, way befoe his last fight with harashima, so he could of used it on him--Onepiecefreak (talk) 19:49, September 19, 2010 (UTC)(onepiecefreak)

I actually dont think so because Madara stated that he wanted to be complete. So i think: 1.Ushiha Blood , 2. Senju Body or Blood, 3. Rinnegan, 4. the Bijuu, 5. unknown 6. unknown

--> He wants to be the 2. Sage of the Six Paths and needs his abilitys for that

I'm intrigued by the concept of there being 6 different 'paths' (presumed) that Madara needs to "collect" or "become one with". I'm curious as to what the other three could be. I think He refers to these: Senju and Uchiha blood. the other 4 could be Uzumaki blood (as a relative of senju)... and maybe hyuuga blood (as a reletive of uchiha)and two other clans may be the sarutobi clan and the shimura clan... the last part is only speculation so it could be crap.

This is a mistranslation: actually Madara calls himself "Second Rikudou", because he has the ability of the manipulation of the Yin and the Yang type of chakra (thanks to the power of the Uchiha and of the Senju): in his definition, anyone can use simultaneously the Yin-Yang natures of chakra for the release of tecniques (for exemple as a perfect Izanagi) can be described as a Rikudou: Nagato could do with the Rinnegan, which is why Madara calls him "Third Rikuodu.

In fact mokuton's special thing is that the user isn't just manipulating plant life... but creating life. while the sharingan uses more yin release, mokuton uses yang release to create life. Surely, he was reffering to the earlier part of the series where he explaind that the sage's power was split in two and that the uchiha ancestor had the eyes and the spiritual powers and the senju ancestor had the body and the physical power, therefore when he gained hashirama's power he gained the physical aspect of the sages abilies and thus became a rikudo, if you seriously think that madara has copied mokuton the go back to school and learn to actually read, the sharingan CANNOT COPY KEKKAI GENKAI, also mokuton is cosidered one of the most powerful kekkai genkai in the series, even kisame thought twice about going up against yamato, and everyone who has witnessed it has been impressed or scared by it, if madara genuinely had it dont you think he would have used against Danzo, or Minato? I know this topic is getting old now, but would it not be prudent to say that madara is the owner of the only known rinnegan, we know he took it from nagato even if he didn't implant it, i think it is noteworthy since the rinnegan will most likely be amongst the most powerful weapons in the upcoming war. i know this 'isn't a forum' and speculation is not appreciated, however i beleive that as the rinnegan is a central plot point in part 2 it is better to say he owns it (which we know) and keep the people who think he implanted it happy, and also does not state to the reader anything that is untrue. maybe in the abilities section or equiptment we could put that he owns it but what his plans for it are remains to be seen. Moreover, the theory does not work because Madara said that he has obtained the power of Senjuu after the fight with Hashirama In The Valley Of The End. By contrast, the mistranslation implied there were other people he needed to gain powers from, one for each path, in order to achieve full strength. More or less right? :::::Yes you are right, but specifically, Madara considered himself Second Rikudou because he has the "power" of Hashirama and the "power" of the Uchiha, that allow him to use the manipulation of yin and yang. I understand where you're coming from with that particular translation, but a few pages later, when he finds Nagato, he says that Nagato is the third of six paths. I don't think Madara is modest enough to compare Nagato to a level he just acquired. So, either what is the translation there, or does your previous translation need revisited? :The way I interpret the text is that Madara considers himself the second [Sage of the] Six Paths, because Uchiha + Senju = Sage of the Six Paths. As stated by the tablet and confirmed by Itachi, the power to controll the nine-tails is derived from the Mangekyou. Isn't it stated that Hashirama could use Water Release? Isn't it also stated that Water Release was needed to be combined with Earth Release to obtain Wood Release? And again, isn't it stated that Madara Uchiha was capable of using Earth Release? So it's easily percieved that Madara copied water release techniques from Hashirama and obviously could have trained 80 years and now mastered wood release. To even a greater extent than Hashirama could. And further proven that my speculation is true, he even used Izanagi. you guys aren't getting my point.... Kakashi can use only two elements before his Sharingan implant... Yes, two, Lightning and Earth... It was in Kakashi Gaiden... Anyways as we all know a Sharingan can see the colour of chakra and can copy any and evrything seen perfectly, or something like that, as stated by Kakashi, which explains why the sharingan can copy jutsus.... Kakashi is about 30 Kakashi exposing his sharingan in battle to use the other elemental jutsus he copied... And even Sasuke, a true Uchiha, used the sharingan for copying jutsus (although not an elemental jutsu). @1david12, Kakashi never used Earth Release in Kakashi Gaiden, what makes you think he could already use it? Even if he can see how the jutsu is done, he must still learn to change is chakra to that nature, and he must be able to match the chakra requirement for that. Kakashi has seen Naruto performing Rasenshuriken, and even if he did two extra clones to help him, he wouldn't be able to perform it because he doesn't know Wind Release techniques. If he saw the Raikage's Lightning Release Armor, he wouldn't be able to use it either, because even though he has Lightning Release, Kakashi is far from having the same chakra output capacity as the Raikage.

So whenever I try to edit
I think it's really obvious now, I mean REALLY obvious that Madara is the main villain. The latest chapter has me suspecting the series will end after the war. I occasionally try to make the obvious edit, listing Madara as the main villain. But whenever I do, someone instantly undoes my edit. So does this wiki really believe that Madara isn't the main villain? Or that there isn't enough evidence to list him as such? The man has almost orchestrated everything and laid the foundation for the entire story, he pulls everyone by strings like puppets. He's a troll almost to Aizen's level, and fucks with people's minds beyond belief. He has the Sharingan, Mangekyo Sharingan, AND the Rinnegan. He's undoubtably the most powerful character in the series.

So why can't we list him as the main villain already? It certainly isn't Kabuto, or Zetsu [lol] And it's definitely not Sasuke.24.67.137.115

:Because he does nothing villainous during the first 300 chapters, and it's likely the idea of him didn't even cross Kishimoto's mind for the first 200 chapters. Ignoring that, Orochimaru operates outside the realms of the giant retcon that is Madara, and he could pass for "the main villain" for the those 300 chapters Madara does nothing. Darth Vader did more in the Star Wars trilogy but Palpatine was still the main villain, and wasn't seen until the very last movie, and very little of him was actually seen. Adding onto that, Orochimaru's title as the main villain was forfeit when Kishimoto decided to throw him away like garbage and let Kabuto take his place. And the likeliness of Sasuke being the main villain is bogus. For that to happen Madara would have to be out of the picture, and in the process the Moon's Eye Plan would be stopped. By taking this into account, if Madara is defeated than the ninja world essentially wins. Sasuke also doesn't have the arsenal of abilities to be the main villain. Kishimoto is following a common manga-cliche, and that is to beef up a main villain by making him possess godly powers. Madara could easily overpower Sasuke now, even with the newly obtained EMS that Sasuke obtained by transplanting Itachi's eyes. This is all speculation right now, but the most likely scenario is Naruto and Sasuke fighting Madara together after another shit load of chapters. I mean we see how Kishimoto writes, usually predictions never come true. But just as well, by using simple logic it's obvious Sasuke can't be the main villain because he doesn't have the power to do so. As well as the fact that Madara being defeated after all he's done, and Sasuke just randomly becoming the main villain for no reason is terrible writing, and isn't exactly expected of Kishimoto. I'm not saying I know what's going to happen, but I think it's pretty obvious that Madara is the main villain. He has the power to be the main villain, a motive a main villain should possess, and not to mention his death would equal the end of the war and all the threats the Akatsuki posed on the world. If you have anything that can contradict my points, I'd be happy to read them. Not for argument purposes, but I'm interested to see what you guys can come up with. 24.67.137.115

I wonder whatever happened to simply reading/watching a story and being pulled along by the story's interesting points and instead trying to act like a crystal ball and cut ahead of the author speculating on what they're going to write before they even write it. I might as well point out that we never listed the Fourth Hokage as Naruto's father until the story basically outright said it eliminating any sane speculation on the topic (well, ignoring the kind of speculation based on whacked out logic the class of people who still believe Tobi is Obito are using, heh...). ~<span style="font-weight: bold;" title="Dantman does not work for Wikia">NOTASTAFF</span> Daniel Friesen<small> (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire)</small> (talk) <small>Nov 5, 2010 @ 07:56 (UTC)</small> 07:56, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Considering Madara stated in 515 that he could use one of the techniques used by the six paths, shouldn't we allow for the techniques to be added? I mean, Madara had no reason to lie about being able to use the technique so it's clear he has the ability to use it. At least it's worth a mention that he has the potential to use it. Merge Tobi page with Obito

Very well folks, seems like Tobi is Obito as revealed in chapter 599, time to merge both pages 85.246.199.136 (talk) 12:16, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for volunteering.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 12:22, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

We should wait a week more, chapter 600, long long explanation incoming known as flashbacks and plot no jutsu--Elveonora (talk) 12:50, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Community, please leave your thoughts at Forum:Chapter 599- Obito and Tobi so we can get a "collective" view.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 12:52, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

The disambiguation

Maybe the disambiguation isn't correct anymore.. it is revealed who he is so it should no longer be a disambiguation to Madara (or at least not to ONLY him). Khaliszt (talk) 12:20, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I know, I know.. I was just remembering it ^^ Khaliszt (talk) 12:37, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

do we jump the gun this time, or...

We cut/paste everything Tobi/Obito/whatever retarded shit has said about "I, Madara" to Madara's article.

 1. founding of Akatsuki through Yahiko
 2. giving Nagato the Rinnegan (As these had happened before the Kakashi Chronicles)
 3. was Obito really responsible for the attack on Konoha, or was it Madara?
 4. control of Yagura
 • plothole: Tobi wasn't aware of Minato's techniques, was he? Obito was the latter's student.

--Elveonora (talk) 13:00, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

How can tobi be obito when; he is always old? by exemple tobi said that he gave nagato the rinnegan at a time prior to the third ninja war when obito was still a little child or was unborn? also the tobi kisame remembers before dying seems rather diferent.

i know this aint a talk page but for the post above, i am starting to think tobi is more than one preson in all of this apperances actually. Reading the manga and putting them all together...kinda makes sense. Just reread and when ever he appears before and during the attack he seems..not the tobi now, while during current appearances he seems a complete different person then before.

also i do not think its a plot hole, havent had any yet. i can fill in gaps whenever someone mentions a supposed plot hole and do not think this is one, kishimoto will fill us all in within a next few chapters. leave everything as if until its all explained(unsigned)

Yes, "Tobi" is either an alias used by more than 1 person, and at least in once instance, it was the real Madara because Nagato had the Rinnegan like 35 years ago, before Obito was even born.--Elveonora (talk) 13:09, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Definitely there are a bunch of questions that we should make. All the time-related ones which give a lot of illogical sense to the plot, and the motivational-related which are like "why the fuck would he do that"? Khaliszt (talk) 13:19, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

There were clues early on

At one point 'Tobi' made Kabuto explain the Edo Tensi to him. Then, a few issues ago, we see that Madara knew all about the Edo Tensi and how to release himself from it. From that point onward it was clear that whoever Tobi was he was from a more recent generation.

Beyond the inevitable six-issue backstory arc we're about to see, it'd be interesting to know who in the hell taught Obito to be such an absurdly good fighter.

And does anyone else think the writers will take the opportunity to finally tell us how Kakashi activated his Mangekyo Sharingan? Seems like a good time for it.

The "writers." There is but one Author for the Naruto manga series, Kishimoto the great and powerful troll. 76.197.15.235 (talk) 13:54, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

^ how he activated his Mangekyou, I'm just going to jump the gun > .> and say that Obito activated his, and since they were linked, Kakashi's also awakened 24.183.38.242 (talk)Ji

Obito's height

If what we saw is true and Obito is Tobi, then how in the hell was he a full grown adult at the time of him using Kurama to attack Konoha whereas Kakashi and Gai were just teenagers. Something must have been done to him to make him a full grown adult. --Senjuto 13:08, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Kakashi and Guy were 14 with an appearance of almost a full-grown men there as well... Kishimoto sucks when it comes to showing off age of his drawings. For example, 11 years old Itachi is as tall as mature Orochimaru--Elveonora (talk) 13:10, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think that was Tobi, that guy never said or inferred his name was Tobi at all. Just Naruto and modern world put masked man=new masked man Tobi. Simple and as for height, what wrong with Itachi? I have been 6'2 since 7th grade. Only grew an inch from then and now and I'm 18. so he could have been tall and muscular and didn't grow much afterwards.

Growth spurt. You can grow a lot in a few years. Simply put. Realistically you could grow that much, now. It would be hell, the growth pains would hurt but you could.

Obito

So, like. I think we should get to merging the articles as soon as we can. The main thing to remember is whatever you think of the Obito theory doesn't matter. I knew he was Obito for days, so it doesn't bother me.. but yeah. I think the sooner we get it over with, the better. --M4ND0N (talk) 13:53, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I agree, I seriously don't know why we're stalling because stalling is really harming us in a whole load of ways. --Speysider Talk Page | My Image Uploads | Tabber Code | My Wiki | Channel 13:58, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I believe he is Obito but I think they need to remain separate until Tobi's explained. Some of the things Tobi did, I do not think were Obito.

- You need to use a signature, dude. Anyway, we didn't speculate on whether or not Tobi was Madara or not after Edo Madara was summoned. did we? There could have been TONS of "theoretical" explanations for it, but we chose to merge the articles. And let me remind you guys, that Kishi specifically said Tobi's identity would be revealed in the next few weeks. It's been 4 weeks. So we have to treat this as a revelation, and stop being prissy little whiners about his identity and stall the merging for some last remnant of hope that SOMEHOW he's Kagami or some shit. That's just not going to happen. --M4ND0N (talk) 14:05, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

So what's the plan people? I can help on the merge. ~IndxcvNovelist (talk | contribs | PR | RLS) 14:07, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, Somebody should lower the protection or atleast throw some information about Tobi's revealed identity (source for no obvious reason No Links.).--LaserGhost (talk) 14:11, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree. The page should become unlocked, for the sake of allowing a large amount of people to edit the page after the merging. A lot of information needs to be moved. But since the admins have control over it, I hope they do the right thing and allow it to be merged.. this denial is making me sick. --M4ND0N (talk) 14:12, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Actually you are right, even if not all the information is correct for Obito, this should be handled like Madara, and needs to be merged, and if later info suggests something else the info can be moved. Only a few things do not makes sense, so it's safe to assume Tobi was Obito for the most part. --J spencer93 (talk) 14:15, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Khaliszt (talk) 14:21, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Exactly. There shouldn't be a double standard just because people don't like the theory. So if any admins are online, I actually suggest you guys handle the merging. Judging from the reactions the revelation is getting on forums, I find it likely that Tobi's page could be prone to spam, editing, something like [there are many plot holes surrounding the revelation] or attempts to edit the name back to Tobi. Vandalism is possible and likely at this point. --M4ND0N (talk) 14:24, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Good idea. We've already knew it was him. It's time. -- ScottKazama (talk) 21:25, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Yup. There's nothing to discuss. So are any admins online atm? We should get this underway. --M4ND0N (talk) 14:57, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Khaliszt, that is what I was saying. And so far there are no plot holes. I have read the entire manga so far several times, no plot holes at all. The Obito thing is explainable, and until the entire plot is finished, you can not call it a plot hole. —This unsigned comment was made by User: (talk • contribs) .

You need to add a signature when you reply. Otherwise things get messed up. --M4ND0N (talk) 15:09, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah.. this is already done for today. Maybe in 2 or three weeks something changes and it gets better clarified. But right NOW that is what we've got and if this wiki considers itself unbiased we should say what today's manga said, and that is: Tobi is Obito. Like a said before with the example of kakashi and ramen XD Khaliszt (talk) 15:51, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I'm a random user on her and I was upset to see that you haven't merged the Obito Uchiha article with the Tobi Article. Please do that soon, or if you're not going to merge it than AT LEAST MENTION OBITO IN TOBI'S ARTICLE AND TOBI IN OBITO'S ARTICLE. It just feels like you guys are all denying it, when the biggest source you have has said it. Changes can always be reverted if new information comes in but as for right now. I say merge it.

Obito's image?

Since it's obvious the articles will be merged sooner or later, I'm just gonna say Obito in reference to this article. When that happens, should we change the picture to the unmasked Obito, or leave the current one as it is? --M4ND0N (talk) 15:56, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I think the unmasked is perfect. If it results to be Obito controlled somehow by someone (just giving an example) he would still have that appearance. And if it's obito totally himself (he still looks like that) i think it is still perfect. So the unmasked view of the last chapter would work very well actually! Let's see if and admin merges it.. Doesn't look like they're on the mood to do it. I understand it, it's complex to do all the merge and maybe next week you have to undo it.. but at least show yourselves, looks like you're giving no importance to it XD I understand the problem. But it's also a matter of biasing, it was already confirmed UNTIL NOW Khaliszt (talk) 16:04, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

All I'm seeing is a bunch of defeated anti Obitards coming up with desperate excuses to disregard Tobi being Obito. Kishi said that it would be revealed in a few weeks, and it's been a month. Obito Uchiha is the chapter title. I don't understand why this is a debate when Madara was split within a day. But I agree, the picture would be great for the article. Obito's still one of the main villains until he dies or turns good again. --M4ND0N (talk) 16:13, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Recommendation: Delay Edits

This is a wiki, after all, not a forum/gossip page where we're always gunning for "first scoop." Magatama90 (talk) 16:37, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

this was already said before in this same discussion but according to TOBI specifically and it is a repost from a discussion on the chapter forums, what is the need of putting it here? Khaliszt (talk) 16:41, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Exactly. This is a wiki. And as a wiki, we need to keep up to date with the latest content. I say we merge them, or else we risk becoming biased and unprofessional. We've never withheld content before, due to a few gaps and unexplained facts. Why start now? --M4ND0N (talk) 16:48, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Or, a simple message on their articles reading "WE ARE AWARE THAT TOBI MIGHT BE OBITO" kind of thing will do. akz! ANBU Symbol 16:50, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

1. I did not come from the chapter forums. 2. I'm trying to suggest a more sensible approach to the handling of the edits: we are not denying Tobi is Obito, what I'm saying is that it's better to deal with the edits with complete information. See how images are not replaced with "latest" scans/anime captions unless it is of better quality, or how edits are not made in character profiles unless the information is complete (cf. the edit history of the Kabuto page during the backstory reveals). 3. Is your concept of professional simply being "up-to-date with incomplete information?" That is anything but. Magatama90 (talk) 16:54, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I'm not talking about the image, I'm talking about the information we have. It's completely professional, because that's what we've always done. Why change now because a few people want to cross their fingers and hope he isn't Obito? Many other sites that documents the series have already listed Tobi as Obito. Wikipedia being the most prominent. --M4ND0N (talk) 16:57, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Again, not merging the articles right now does not mean we are sowing doubt into the reality that Tobi is Obito. Magatama90 (talk) 17:07, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

How am I being a hothead? I'm not even concerned about people not thinking he's Obito, and disregarding it. I'm concerned about a wikia known for being up to date with content, completely ignoring an entire chapter for a whole week. That's just not a professional thing to do. Just remember how we handled Madara's article on the day the chapter came out. We split them.

How about, instead of delaying edits, delay the merge. Kein87 (talk) 19:22, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

This is Stupid

I am a long time editor of Wikipedia, and obviously this is not Wikipedia but you could at least apply some similar standards. Even if you don't want to merge the Tobi/Obito articles, at the very least mention what happened in each article. There is a complete blackout of chapter 599 on both articles, at the very least you could put that his mask was broken and it appeared he was Obito. You have an obligation as a popular website, to keep information up to date! -147.226.196.42 (talk) 17:47, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

The process is lengthy to merge the articles. But I agree, the opposition this revelation is getting is absolutely sickening. Especially with all the pre-established standards this wiki usually has. I think the admins will work on it soon. --M4ND0N (talk) 17:53, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
Can we at least wait for the admins to wake up? I agree, it's frustrating without having an up to date wiki but let's not get impatient. Nexus32 (talk) 18:29, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
Agreed, let's be patient and let the admins deal with this themselves. --—This unsigned comment was made by Senjuto (talkcontribs) .

The admins here are acting babyish about it. They been unnecessarily strict about the Tobi article for years now. This entire wikipedia need a entirely new staff team. BHM1250 (talk) 19:32, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
The only thing I don't understand is how we can't even acknowledge the fact that Tobi is "inside" Obito's body ,even if it's not actually him ,thats a big deal for this series. Couldn't we just simply update Tobi's page for whats taken place and leave Obito's alone for now until it's confirmed that he is alive? --Hordy4040 (talk) 20:32, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
@Hordy, finally a wise folk around--Elveonora (talk) 20:36, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

I think people who don't want a merging of these two pages just yet are correct.

Because we don't know if Obito is alive. However what we do know ,something that is not up for debate ,is that "Tobi" is indeed inside Obito's corpse and THAT is what should be updated on Tobi's page,no matter how you slice it that happened in the manga just now,so in short Obito may not be the Tobi we know, but we have confirmation that Tobi is in Obito's body.--Hordy4040 (talk) 20:48, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Merge

It´s rather hilarious that the Admins of these pages made a conclusion out of nothing and merged the Tobi & Obito pages together.

What if in chapter 600 that it reveals that Obito's body is controlled by Madara's soul/mind?

Merging Uchiha Madara's page with Tobi's & Obito's into one then?

NO , DON'T PULL CONCLUSIONS YET !! —This unsigned comment was made by 78.73.125.137 (talkcontribs) .

Remain calm. Manga chapter 599 has clearly thought us that CURRENTLY, and I can't stress that word enough, Tobi = Obito.

Untill the next manga is released, we shall take that information as definite. End of story.

Might it happen that the next chapter reveals that Obito is actually dead, and Tobi is an unknown entity inside his corpse, than as such it will be edited. Derigar (talk) 19:18, August 30, 2012 (UTC)

Standards of Narutopedia:

I'm rather disappointed with the way this issue is being handled by the wiki staff. This is a popular means of acquiring up to date information about the Naruto storyline, and here we see that the wiki isn't keeping updated?

I was under the impression that this wiki was unbiased and that information would be updated as it was revealed.

Tobi was revealed to be Obito in Chapter 599. We knew nothing more and nothing less.

The moment this was revealed, it should have been reflected in the wiki. Had the next chapter explained something else, or a different conclusion, then the wiki would be changed to reflect that, the most recent information.

Honestly, this lack of professional integrity is disgusting. 72.196.144.247 (talk) 01:49, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

Your lack of perspective is cringe-worthy. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:59, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
