According to this, the Naruto: The Official Character Data Book, which will ship with a US$14.99 (C$16.99) SRP on January 10, 2012! I'm sure they're talking about the first one, right? I'm so excited, and since we have a reference, should this be mention on the article?--NinjaSheik 19:08, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

The Amazon listing ("covers all the way to Volume 43") makes it sound like Sha no Sho. ~SnapperTo 20:44, April 16, 2011 (UTC)
You think so? The Sha no Sho is the fourth databook, right? Why would they release the fourth databook, and not the first databook first? Oh, well, I'm excited anyway! So should we link it to the Sha no Sho, then?--NinjaSheik 20:53, April 16, 2011 (UTC)
Wait until it comes out first. Many times, I have seen reference books like the data books and fan books being more like compilations of several Japanese reference books, rather than direct translations. Sometimes they even put anime stuff in it or things unique to the English translation. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 23:47, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

Okay.--NinjaSheik 00:01, April 17, 2011 (UTC)

Does anyone have an analysis of page 152? Seems like it's rating teams as a whole based on nin, tai and genjutsu, plus something else represented with a "T" (teamwork?). But considering the numbers aren't consistent with previous stats, it's harder to make sense of. 76.123.236.73 (talk) 14:02, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

Just asking...

Do you know if this stats are official?. I just realice that Zabuza have almost 31 points on this scale and saske, acordding to the third databook, has only 31.5.—This unsigned comment was made by 200.86.143.219 (talkcontribs) .

Kishimoto makes those stats, so yes, they're official. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:05, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

Consisting chapters

What chapters are comprised in the Rin no Sho? Seelentau 愛 19:43, April 20, 2012 (UTC)

Chapter 599...

Accidentally asked this on the second databook talk page so I'm moving this discussion here. Shouldn't the age plothole be stated in the trivia? --OmegaRasengan (talk) 17:08, September 5, 2012 (UTC)

English

Is there an English version of this book? I noticed that on the 3rd databook has an english cover, but the 2nd and 1st don't. So this makes me wonder if there is an english version of the book, because if it is translated there is no guarantee that it is correct. So I searched for an english version, and turns out there is none. So how is this info gathered, and is it accurately translated? --173.61.91.169 (talk) 22:22, October 25, 2012 (UTC)

There is an English version of this, I've seen scans. All of the info we have from this databook was translated by ShoinenSuki (I miss him), who provided us with translations for a long most unfortunately isn't an active user any more. I recall that the scans of the English version I saw had a few mistranslations, for example, in the Sage Art: Goemon entry, they made a very crude error calling, mixing which toad provided fire and wind for example. There might have been other mistakes in the book, but I don't recall. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:47, October 25, 2012 (UTC)
I just recently decided to search. (I know, I'm REALLY late ^^;) I couldn't find it... Sorry, it's just I'm a perfectionist, and I just want to make sure the information is accurate. 173.61.91.169 (talk) 17:05, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

Slight problem, it doesn't contain nearly the amount of topics and characters that have been cited with it 173.61.91.169 (talk) 18:26, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
It might not be complete--Elveonora (talk) 18:28, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
Then how was all this information gathered? Sorry, I have issues with perfection and reliability. 173.61.91.169 (talk) 18:38, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
It isn't the wiki's responsibility to provide you with scans or translations. That's what Google is for. If you still don't believe the information, that's your problem. ~SnapperTo 19:24, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

If you are willing to help us provide the most accurate information, then as said by Snapper, look up the sources yourself and then compare, if you find anything missing or contradicting, feel free to make a topic afterwards. Most old stuff around here comes directly from Japanese databooks and manga, some things might not be completely correct since Suki Sensei left, there aren't many people to check it out and we work with what we get--Elveonora (talk) 19:52, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
