english translation?[]

shouldnt we add some translations to the lyrics of each song cause theyre kinda all in japanese and most people wont understand (including me xD)--Sheepshinobi (talk) 09:24, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

link to lyrics instead[]

Shouldn't we just interwiki link to lyrics that are posted on LyricWiki (lyrics.wikia.com), like w:c:lyrics:明星 (Akeboshi):Yellow Moon? LyricWiki does strive to get permission to post copyrighted lyrics there as they have agreements with Gracenote. Plus, they have the native kana/kanji, romanization, and English translation for most of the Naruto songs up there. See w:c:lyrics:Anime:Naruto.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we can transclude the pages over to this wiki. --Geopgeop (talk) 18:50, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

Inputting the following (as an example) sort of works:
{{:w:c:Lyrics:FLOW:Go!!!}}
For some reason it includes the entire lyric wiki page, not just the contents of w:c:Lyrics:FLOW:Go!!!. ~SnapperTo 05:51, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Videos[]

Should videos be added to the theme articles? --|WhiteArmor|(Talk)|--

I would like to do that but let's wait until someone else replies this section to see if we should. I would most certainly like to have videos posted from YouTube. --NejiHyuga900 (talk | contributions) "I am the Thunder Dragon!" 06:07, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Link[]

Maybe we should provide some link so viewers can hear the song without opening the episode.Ttogafer (talk) 18:07, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure that we can do that.. i think the episode has rights over the theme... otherwise just playing it would probably be copyright violation. - SimAnt 18:19, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Naruto Shonen Hen?[]

should the openings for Naruto Shonen Hen be included in this page? It is part of the series. Instantclassic90 (talk) 22:03, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

what is Naruto Shonen Hen?

Basically the re-airing of part 1, with new openings with widescreen side bars. Instantclassic90 (talk)

Not just that, it's like Naruto's equivalent of Dragon Ball Kai. :) Juan D'Marco 15:54, September 21, 2014 (UTC)

Naruto Uzumaki Ninden Credits Song[]

Recently, i found out what is the Japanese song of the Naruto Game, Uzumaki Ninden or Chronicles. The Ninden has the full song in it, not the instrumentals, and i even had a pleasure of contacting her, her name is Nao Otokura, and Rheason Love by her stage name, (http://www.myspace.com/rheasonlove). And she's even nice enough to give me a copy of the song provided that I WILL NEVER distribute it and for PERSONAL use only. The name of the song is:「N/w~You can do it!~」(レーベルRADIX), the English version has the vocals omitted. I inserted the data on the page with citation but somebody removed it...

Naruto Shippuden Original Soundtrack Track listings[]

Hi, I found out from different online stores regarding this and not sure which one is more exact. Is it 56 tracks or 28 tracks? Or are the number of tracks available in special version and normal version packages?

Video game music[]

eh, can someone help erase the extra spam in the video game music section please? Jkphantom9 (talk) 16:10, May 14, 2013 (UTC)jkphantom9Jkphantom9 (talk) 16:10, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you :) Jkphantom9 (talk) 20:58, May 14, 2013 (UTC)jkphantom9Jkphantom9 (talk) 20:58, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Could we add a "music" selection in the wikia's main drop down menus? And create separate pages for each album? The music section is very unorganized (Or not as organized as it could be.) I'd like to ask that people don't delete or undo my edits while I work on the music section. DuchessDream (talk) 12:08, October 10, 2017 (UTC)

Kanji vs ??[]

Most song pages that include the Japanese character rendering use the word "Kanji" to refer to that section of the page. But using "kanji" isn't really accurate, as most lyrics include a mixture of kanji, hiragana, and katakana.

For the uninitiated, kanji refers to Chinese-style characters (the more complex ones) that encapsulate ideas rather than explicit sounds; hiragana is the standard phonetic Japanese script (somewhat akin to cursive) used for native words and more curvy in appearance, and katakana is the alternate phonetic script (somewhat akin to print) commonly used for loanwords, foreign words, and stylized title text, which is more angular in appearance.

So would anyone object to "Kanji" sections being renamed "Kana" or something? ("Japanese" is another option, albeit much less precise.) – Garrett W. { } 00:19, September 11, 2018 (UTC)

Videos[]

The reason against including videos of the openings/endings on the wiki was always one of two things:

  1. That the videos uploaded by fans of the series were of unclear legality and therefore shouldn't be promoted by the wiki.
  2. That the videos of the full songs uploaded by the musicians were of limited relevance to the wiki since those videos would have lacked any Naruto content.

I've now noticed that Crunchyroll has all the Naruto and Shippuden music on its YouTube channel, solving both of the above problems. Does the wiki want to start embedding/linking these videos in the songs' articles? ~SnapperTo 14:12, 25 November 2022 (UTC)

I'm not particularly committed to this topic, but I think linking would suffice. I don't know about others' experiences, but checking on a browser's task manager, FANDOM pages always consume a noticeable amount of resources, RAM most specifically, compared to other sites I frequent. It doesn't matter if it's a big or small article, infobox or no infobox, so I don't want to aggravate the issue. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:48, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
I block most scripts by default, so haven't noticed anything unusual.
I did a test edit of the embed to see how your performance may be impacted. ~SnapperTo 00:35, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
that depends to those outside of USA since Crunchyroll is an American subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service. I'm currently out of States until I come back to NOLA on a certain when and which currently i'm unable to watch. This is my feedback in case you're reading this. Kunoichi101 (talk) 15:05, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
I'm Brazilian, and the video played fine to me, not sure I noticed any particular change in resource consumption. Most resource spikes to me happen as an article loads, and then they taper off to 50%-70% of the spike. If it's a tab I leave open for quite a while, like a pinned RC page, memory use does rise a bit until I refresh again, leading to the same spike and tapering pattern. My script blocking is rather simple, I just have several lists added to my content blocker. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:40, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
According to this, the video is blocked in Asia. If you know of a (legal) alternative we can try that one instead; I don't know who has streaming rights for Naruto in Asia so I don't know which channel(s) to check. Short of that, a video that only half of the world can watch seems preferable to no video at all.
Each Fandom tab I have open is about 100MB according to my task manager, with an additional 50-100MB if I enable scripts. I block ads and a few other page elements, but it sounds like you might block those same things. So I don't know what could be using so much memory on your machine. ~SnapperTo 22:06, 27 November 2022 (UTC)

Unreleased osts list[]

What about if we add a list containing unreleased osts? Like the 3 Sannin Battle Theme. Also, why not uploading the song file of the osts so the users can hear them directly from here? I think i can offer some help if the idea seems good. Whosever is reading this message, let me know in my talk page if the idea is worthy it. OnePiece (talk) 21:22, 6 June 2023 (UTC)

If you know what the music is called you can add its name to the episode's article. Otherwise this isn't the place for that type of thing. ~SnapperTo 00:56, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
