Aoba read Kisame's mind without machinery. I thought only Pain was supposed to be able to do that. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:47, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

In the translation I read Ino said that Pain read his mind in seconds without any equipment. Meaning the equipment only increases how fast a user can read minds. I think we just misunderstood how the technique works.--Deva 27 (talk) 00:01, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe genjutsu?

On the basis of Kakkō's mind reading being a genjutsu, shouldn't we assume this mind reading is genjutsu of some sort as well? Or does Kakkō's technique involves genjutsu as a mean of persuasion so the victim reveals the information, kinda like Sasuke did with the Kumo nin before meeting Bee? Anyone? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:00, November 3, 2010 (UTC)
Bumping again. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:10, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
It didn't seem like Kakkō's genjutsu was a mind reading technique, more like it made it easier to interrogate Rin.--Deva 27 (talk) 23:17, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Chapter 515 implies that the gathering of info and removal of soul are one technique, not two. Should Nagato be removed from this article? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:00, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

On the basis of there being non-Yamanaka users of this technique, I'll remove this as a Yamanaka clan jutsu. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:10, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, he absorbed his chakra from Kabuto, but I don't recall mind reading have ever been attributed to absorption techniques. Wouldn't him getting Kabuto's memories by touch account for this technique?--Elveonora (talk) 13:53, April 12, 2013 (UTC)
