Puppets

I believe it shoul;d be listed under Kankuro's puppet section he has a new puppet. although what it is and does remains to be seen however towards the end of the rescue Gaara arc a bundle of cloth could be seen on his back highly reminiscant of Ant in part 1. seen

here here and another time earlier on that I cant find a page reference for. [YTOfficer01] 18.30 26/6/09

Puppet Arts: Death Cage Technique

I've yet to find anything on here or with any quick searching about the so called move "Puppet Arts: Death Cage Technique". I'm beginning to think it doesn't exists, and as such either needs to be created on the wiki, or needs to be deleted from the page. Thoughts? BTsume 08:23, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Ihave looked around some pages with techniques and haven't found anyting about "Puppet Arts: Death Cage Technique". Maybe it's a game technique or a mistranslation. Jacce 08:40, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
I can only assume so as well, but I'll try and find at least the game it's from...I found this website that has all the moves for the characters, but I don't understand romanized Japanese...http://www.supercheats.com/playstation2/walkthroughs/narutoshippuudennarutimateaccel-walkthrough01.txtBTsume 09:05, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Having checked with the author, she/he doesn't know of the move, and thinks it's probally a missintupritation. Such is the case, I'll edit the page nxt week if none are against. BTsume 16:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Kankuro VS Shino a tie? WRONG

Lets look over it. I have not read the manga version of this arc but have seen the anime so i do not know how much different it is, but in the anime, Kankuro is the definate winner agains't Shino, it is not a tie. Shino only destroys Kankuro's puppets, and despite Kankuro being weak at 'close combat', it doesn't mean he couldn't have finished Shino off with a quick kunai stab, so obviously Kankuro was simply leaving Shino to die of poison. When you look at it this way: Kankuro: Unable to fight but still standing, already landed a finishing blow on Shino. Shino: LYING DOWN, POISONED AND IS ABOUT TO DIE if it weren't for his father's antidote. Obviously that statement needs to be changed to say that Kankuro is the winner.

That is absolutely wrong, Kankuro was majorly injured by the insects while Shino was poisoned. Kankuro never got back up, only after Gaara lost to Naruto did he return. Shino was cured by his father's bugs, not by an antidote, they are better and can easily extract the poison from his body.

Shino won. Kankuro went down first and so Shino won the fight. The bugs sucked out his chakra so he couldn't use his puppets. Shino went down a few minutes after so he won th fight.

I would totally agree with the above two. It's actually clearer in the anime: Kankuro actually falls out of the tree screaming...but in any case he was completely drained by the insects and was later found by Temari lying on a tree branch unable to move (manga as well). I can vaguely see why someone might think it was a tie, but to say Kankuro won would be idiocy. Dartblaze 11:07, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Dblaze

Additionally, it's a 99% held view that Shino was the winner, as he went down last and was revived first. And Shino was the one who sprung a trap and confidently explained his master plan at the end of the battle, so, in the world of Naruto, that practically guarantees his victory. Dartblaze 11:21, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

It acctually was like this... both lost and won. they lost the battle and won the battle against each other. just cuz u fall doesn't mean u lose cuz in the ninja world u only lose if u die and niether died. so all u out there may have ur oppinions but it is all oppinions not fact

Help write more

I will Cortribute to this article DarkLordofChaos90

I wrote up the two sections on the Chunin Exam and the Invasion of Konoha before I got a log-in. If someone disagrees with my use of the terms "Village of the Hidden Sand/Leaf/Rain" by all means change it. - johnplaystuba

Hey hey. Just finished Kankuro's part in the Sasuke retrieval arc. I or someone else could probably use that section in Kiba's article. What do you guys think? - johnplaystuba

Where'd you get the info? I wish things could be done in a more organized manor. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Apr 23, 2007 @ 04:10 (UTC)

Haha, nowhere in particular. I just went off of what I remembered, and filled in the gaps by reading the manga at http://groups.msn.com/NarutoMangaReturns And yeah, I do think we could stand a little more organization, but we're just starting so... y'know... one bridge at a time and all that.-johnplaystuba

My issue with organization is the fact that the steps to making a complete article here are:
  • Copy the relevant articles from Wikipedia. (Including the {{Wikipedia}} template)
  • Format the content properly following How to copy from Wikipedia.
  • Expand the article with more information.
The issue comes when people add lots of content before the Wikipedia content is started as a base. It means that we half to merge the old content into the page, which makes things tougher to do. It would be nice if articles only had content added to them after the already existing GFDL content was added when the page was done through with the Village in Distress: A new E-Ranked Mission! collaboration project. The issue is no-one reads things before they start editing. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Apr 23, 2007 @ 21:52 (UTC)

Oh... see... I figured we were trying to avoid copying from Wikipedia, that's all. And I did read stuff, but I guess I missed that. Perhaps it should be included in the 'welcome' message... Also, I see Kankuro's not on the table, but should it be? - johnplaystuba

Yes, if there are any character articles missing in that list (Obviously there are) Add it to that table by adding the Wikipedia link, then in the next column the link to the actual article that should be there (No (naruto) in the title or using the title of the article the section comes from), and in the other column list the redirects that should be made. For redirects you should copy the Kanji name of the character, the Romanized name, The name with the last name first a comma a space then the character's first name, and other than that also list the nicknames of the character as pages which should be redirects. Information on copying from Wikipedia is linked from the Rules if people aren't paying attention to the rules which they half to read before editing then I guess I'm going to half to make them more notable. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Apr 25, 2007 @ 06:22 (UTC)

Okay that sounds good. Yeah, maybe there should be a big flashing link to your plan there on the main page. I mean, rules? Don't post pictures yet, don't post incorrect information, don't be a douche... that's what I usually expect to be in the rules section of a Wiki. What you're talking about probably needs to be, I don't know, emphasized more. Here's hoping this will go smoothly. - johnplaystuba

Kuroari

Shuden't "Kuroari" be writen "Kuro ari"? In english the puppet is called "Black ant" and "Kuro" means "black" while "Ari" means "ant". I know that the anime has subbed the name to Kuroari but if you listen closley, you hear that Kankuro says "Kuro ari" not "Kuroari". Jacce 08:16, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Its one of the many oddities of the Japanese language in the English ears. Memory serves me correctly that in Japan some words that are said together are connected as such Kuroari is the correct way to say Black Ant in Japanese.--TheUltimate3 10:35, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

kankuro's 4th puppet

don't you think it was looked like sasori's body ?—This unsigned comment was made by 115.166.96.10 (talkcontribs) .

Quite, but we don't add speculations, so until we know for sure, that part doesn't go into the article. Jacce | Talk 18:03, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Saying the new puppet is Sasori might be speculation, but I'm sure we could add the fact that the two share a strong resemblance. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 20:03, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Most users seams to be against it but maybe it is a good idea. Jacce | Talk 20:06, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Trivia

Shoudln't it be stated in his trivia that in every Arc that Kankuro gets a new outfit he also gets another puppet? Hidan13 (talk) 20:47, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

It already says that under Kankuro#Puppets. ~SnapperTo 03:09, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Sasori

In what chapter did Kankuro use Sasori as a puppet? I don't recall ever seeing it on onemanga. So, could someone tell me?--Kagimizu-Seeya 'round~ 02:34, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Try looking at File:Sasoripuppet.jpg, its in the article... Simant (talk) 02:51, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

I know that. I was asking because I didn't see it, and I wanna know which chapter it's in, so I can read it.--Kagimizu-Seeya 'round~ 02:55, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Try clicking the image, and looking at fair use rationale - source.... Simant (talk) 03:48, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Headband

In Chapter 464 as well as the file File:Sasoripuppet.jpg Kankuro's headband is that of a Kumogakure ninja. Im not sure if this is stated but this is a similar drawing mistake similar to the one early on where Pain had a Konoha headband. If this is worthy of the trivia secion I wouldn't know how to word it.--King of Las Noches Talk to Me 03:45, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

That's odd. You could try and convince yourself that that's a really irregular Sand symbol. Still, artist mistakes happen often enough that they aren't particularly interesting. ~SnapperTo 03:59, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

spelling suggestion

im pretty sure its pronounced just "kankuro" rather than "kankurō" in the english anime—This unsigned comment was made by Salh474 (talkcontribs) .

  • We don't name things through the English anime, we use Hepburn romanization of the actual Japanese name. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 18:29, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

so where do you guys come up with these?—This unsigned comment was made by Salh474 (talkcontribs) .
