Name[]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the name of this seal the Caged Bird seal? Nocte. (talk) 07:11, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

That's just an analogy Neji likes to use. The seal itself is never called that. ~SnapperTo 18:52, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

Trivia[]

am i wrong to write in the trivia section that neji's father still had the mark even after his death in the edo tensei state —This unsigned comment was made by 41.239.213.156 (talkcontribs) .

Kinda. Edo Tensei brings shinobi back as they were when alive. When alive, Hizashi had his Byakugan and the juinjutsu. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 21:32, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

That is an interesting point though. We've seen it recreate bloodlines and the like, but it doesn't recreate the Tailed beasts sealed in people before their death etc. So clearly there are limitations to what can be restored, so while certainly I wouldn't expect a body that wasn't originally his to have his bloodline sealed, but isn't it noteworthy that in the case of both him and Nagato it brought back detriments they had in life that their new bodies shouldn't necessarily suffer (The seal, busted legs) while others (Itachi, Kimimaro) seemingly don't? Especially when said detriment was an artificial factor, literally a seal someone else put on him in life? This might be totally irrelevant to the article, but I think there might be something of merit here if we can gather a bit more evidence for comparison. --Hawkeye2701 (talk) 04:42, January 11, 2013 (UTC)

Tailed beasts are not innate parts of people like a kekkei genkai is. When a jinchūriki dies, something else happens to the tailed beast although it "dies" in that instance as well. You cannot compare the two to each other. Nagato's issue with mobility was more of a mental issue than a physical one, note that he could move but he simply did not "know how to walk any more" while Itachi and Kimimaro had physically debilitating diseases: something their host bodies did not have and a soul would not carry. Along with the information that Kishimoto has given us: it brings back the person in the state they were before their death or w/e, kekkei genkai are also brought back with them. Omni's also right, Hizashi's dōjustu was sealed after his death. It's a bit of a technicality and not something to be stressed upon.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 08:08, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
Well if Hizashi still had the seal, Hiashi could have used it when they fought in the war? Maybe it was a personal guilt thing, but he was willing to use it at least once when Hizashi was alive. —This unsigned comment was made by Sunblaster (talkcontribs) .

Neji[]

Neji needs to be added in the info box. Zelwolf (talk) 15:19, December 20, 2013 (UTC)Zelwolf

He didn't use the jutsu, it was used on him. So, it doesn't need to be added. Munchvtec (talk) 15:21, December 20, 2013 (UTC)munchvtec
