i just recently saw that in the third data book gurens name was shown as GLEN i think it should be changedMunchvtec (talk) 05:41, November 8, 2013 (UTC)munchvtec

No. It's Guren.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 07:51, November 8, 2013 (UTC)
To clarify the question: Viz's translation of the third databook calls him Glen. Is that valid?
Based on my very thorough research, Guren and Glen are both valid translations of グレン. ~SnapperTo 08:09, November 8, 2013 (UTC)
グレン would be transcribed as guren. It could be that the author had Glen in mind when naming him, yes. Seelentau 愛 10:04, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

Could Glen be put as a nickname or alias like you guys have done with Sabu being called Kin. Or should it be put under trivia?Munchvtec (talk) 13:03, November 8, 2013 (UTC)munchvtec

I think we would add the viz part to his name like a moniker.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 14:51, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

It wont let me edit his infobox so I just stuck the Glen thing in a trivia section for now you can change it laterMunchvtec (talk) 16:28, November 8, 2013 (UTC)munchvtec

Name Change

I see there was some discussion here about this character's name being "Glen" versus "Guren". Seeing as how the databook has it as the former, and the fact that we translated names of characters such as Rock Lee, Might Guy, Pain, and Might Dai similarly, I see no reason why the article's title should not be changed. In fact, it seems that doing so would be necessary to adhere to this wiki's policies. Any objections? --ScruffyC (talk) 17:25, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

But with those, their names are supposed to be English-sounding. No such indication Guren's name is meant to be understood like that. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:55, May 20, 2014 (UTC)
Didn't the third databook have it that way though? I'd say that indicated Kishi's intent. --ScruffyC (talk) 03:37, May 21, 2014 (UTC)

As snapper said above both Glen and Guren are valid translations. So how would you choose which one stays? Munchvtec (talk) 15:38, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

I don't find it necessary to change. The Japanese scan of the databook doesn't have romanized versions of the names of those "other characters" pages. My comment above to me is enough reason not to change. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 16:43, May 22, 2014 (UTC)
