They certainly resemble shinobi hitaiate, but the people wearing them look like officials. Not to mention the fact that the Daimyō himself wears one and that the symbol is also depicted on the flags. —ShounenSuki ^{(talk | contribs | translations)} 23:41, November 20, 2010 (UTC)
