Name Change

Wouldn't it be better if this article was moved to First Hokage's Necklace? That's how this necklace is always called in the manga and databooks. --ShounenSuki 15:39, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

I would say name it after its current holder. But even then its liable to change no matter what. /shrug I would go with "Crystallized Chakra Necklace" but thats just me.--TheUltimate3 17:40, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
I think this page should be changed to Crystal gem based off the translation ShounenSuki did Here and Here.
I would say not. The gem ≠ the necklace. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 18:51, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

First Hokage Necklace

In the anime, Jiraiya states that "... there are only two like it in the world." Is that anime only, or am I reading a bad translation of chapter 159, page 10. Simant (talk) 22:48, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

I have a feeling you might be watching a badly translated version of episode 91, actually...

From chapter 159: "That there~ It's a mineral of which there aren't two in the world, once owned by the First Hokage." (「ありゃ この世に二つとない鉱石で初代火影が持ってたもんだ」, "Arya Kono yo ni futatsu to nai kōseki de Shodai Hokage ga motteta mon da")

It's easy to mistranslates this as there being two in the world, but at least in the manga it says there is only one. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 22:59, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Just Asking...

In the anime, Shizune states that if anyone else puts on the necklace, they die. And it was true for Dan and Nawaki but then why didn't it effect Naruto? —This unsigned comment was made by Princess Libra (talkcontribs) on 03:34, 2010 March 28 (UTC).

Because curses don't exist or, for a more supernatural answer, because the necklace deems Naruto worthy of the Hokage title.
Also, sign your posts. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 02:39, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Tool

Since this item was used to aid the First and Yamato in their Tailed Beast Control jutsus, shouldn't it treated as a tool? Darksusanoo (talk) 22:47, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I do think so.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol 00:19, November 22, 2011 (UTC)
Anymore opinions? Darksusanoo (talk) 16:46, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Of course its a tool. --Elveonora (talk) 18:18, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

But it's not listed as one...at least not a ninja tool. Darksusanoo (talk) 18:19, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Naruto

Why isn't Naruto listed here? is there some specific reason?--Jon Thiago (talk) 23:13, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

He's never used the necklace. A while back it was decided that people who actually use something like the Scroll of Seals or own it should be listed for stuff like this. Though i'm not entirely sure why Yamato's there.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol 23:22, March 26, 2012 (UTC)
Yamato's there because based on his words at the Falls of Truth, the necklace was the only reason why his Demon Suppressing move worked.--TheUltimate3 ~Keeper of Lore~ 23:26, March 26, 2012 (UTC)
Oh yesh. I forgot he used it that often. I thought it was just because he put a fūinjutsu on it.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol 23:29, March 26, 2012 (UTC)
