since the have cloaks wouldn't team sanke be full fledged members by now?

For full membership, I believe the rings are required, Tobi only got to be a member after he got Sasori's ring. Omnibender 13:54, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Hidans ring

Could this be what Hidans ring stands for: Wikipedia:Three enclosures? Jacce 18:30, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

What is wrong with the article...?

For some reason i cant see the reference nor the categories... could someone explain? Gojita 14:50, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Fixed, someone stupidly used <!--- Zetsu says he is dead!---!> in the page. Comments are started with <!-- not <!---, but the issue here is they tried to close the comment with ---!> when that's completely invalid, the first style issue being that you only use two --'s, but the real issue is that there is no ! in t he closing, and so the proper closing is -->. Because they used a stupid, invalid comment format they went and created a comment which did not close and thus broke every bit of the article after that point. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Apr 16, 2008 @ 01:19 (UTC)

Error?

Wasn't Itachi replaced with Sasuke by Madara? Zejoro 10:08, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Madara made a alliance with Snake/Hawk because he lacked people. I don't think he has replaced anyone yet. Jacce 10:10, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Goal

I may not be completely up to date, and i skipped a few chapters in between places in shippuden but could i have a source for this info? i have never seen Pain confirm any of his goals... just want to make sure that we have valid info here Acacia Akiyama 17:14, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

The three stage goals was stated in chapter 329, starting on page 11. Pain's purpose with the demons was stated in chapter 374 page 11 (how ironically). I hope that was helpful. Jacce 17:47, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes very helpfull thank you 156.34.181.176 17:49, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Similarities

Why did someone get rid of the list of the similarities of Akatsuki Team Members?

manga members

in the meeting after the sakuke and naruto fight the shapes of the members are different, one guy is twice as big as all the others and other profiles don't match. can someone check this to make sure im not crazy--PAIN 04:22, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Maybe some former member that died during the time skip. Jacce 05:09, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Judging by the big guy's silhouette (ignoring his size for a moment), that guy is Kakuzu. Kishimoto probably decided to make him smaller later on. If you check Kakuzu's position when they extract Shukaku, you can see he's also very large there.
The only silhouette I couldn't identify in the ch.238 meeting was the one saying "Itachi, your little brother?". This silhouette later appears again during the Shukaku extraction in ch.255 to complain he was irritated because he couldn't find his jinchūriki and wanted to engage Team Guy. This silhouette was probably an early design for Hidan or was meant to be Hidan's predecessor, one of the partners Kakuzu killed. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 07:59, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Immortality, Eternal Youth and Long Life Span

I believe Pain should be removed from this list as we cn clearly see that the bodies are deceased puppets being controlled by someone else, at least until the Nagato body can prove he can rejoin this section. ~Super Novice-Talk to Me~ 04:58, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I humbly disagree, SuperN, as Pain can replace his bodies, as seen by him replacing his Animal Path, thus avoiding death.--Ethelion 05:03, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
You're not understanding what I am saying. I'm not disagreeing with the fact Pain can replaced any of his Paths I'm saying until he is shown replacing or proving to live exceptionally long in his Nagato Body(one one walking around with black and and in a machine) he shouldn't be on the list. ~Super Novice-Talk to Me~ 05:14, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Omg he can replace his paths, yes that is true, but when his real body dies the deceased bodies will go back to being deceased bodies, Nagato cant replace himself—This unsigned comment was made by Alexfkdianna (talkcontribs) on 23:34, March 20, 2009.
That's exactly what were saying and seeing as how the Paths are not the real Pain/ Nagato he should be excluded from the list of immortals or those with long lives.~Super Novice-Talk to Me~ 00:31, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree, Pain should be removed from this list. Kankurō can replace his puppets too, but we don't consider him to have anything close to immortality or an increased lifespan. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 00:51, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Reasons for Recruitment

You have incorrectly said some of their reasons, Itachi's is actually 'Philosophy', and Deidaras is whim, not 'just because'. Kakuzus is 'Raw Materials', and Kisames is 'Grievance'.

These are the official translations of the reasons they have joined. Annaatar (talk) 10:17, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Actually, since the manga doesn't attribute any one reason to a specific character, the anime's translation should be used. For that the only incorrect ones would be Itachi (philosophy), Kisame (grudges), and Deidara (whim). ~SnapperTo 18:50, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
I'd like to see a photograph of where this is used in the official English manga (photo, not scan, a photo indicates proof it's from an actual manga rather than scanned and edited), and a reference to the episode and a note on how far in it is used. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) May 16, 2009 @ 21:16 (UTC)
Episode 81, 11:48. ~SnapperTo 03:03, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Crunchyroll links should be preferred over Viz's video site. Viz uses Hulu and isn't available to basically anyone except the US, even though Viz is supposed to have wider distribution rights than just that. Namely I'm in Canada, thus I can't view Hulu videos, but crunchyroll is available to the lot of us. Though atm I ran into my flashplayer bug (I'm using an alpha release of 10 for my 64bit system, sooner or later I'm going to just have to get around to installing the stable 32bit) which stops me from seeing subtitles. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) May 17, 2009 @ 09:36 (UTC)

Akatsuki Meeting on Ep. 135

I'd really like to know who was there on Akatsuki's meeting on Ep.135. If someone can find out, try to list them from left to right. Note: Hidan was not at the Meeting. P.S. If ShounenSuki answers this question, sorry for asking so much, you've been a big help to me.--Akatsuki101 (talk) 20:45, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

There is nothing wrong with asking a lot of questions, as long as they are relevant to the Wiki. The Akatsuki members that were in that meeting were (from left to right)
  • Kisame Hoshigaki
  • Kakuzu
  • Konan
  • Itachi Uchiha
  • Deidara
  • Sasori
  • An unknown member
  • Pain's Deva Path
  • Zetsu
--ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 20:52, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Recent developments

As Pain and Konan are no longer members of Akatsuki, can someone move them to 'former members' or suchlike? Thanks. TomServo101 (talk) 07:08, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Also Nagato is currently not wearing his ring, actually he never wore it at all as Deva Path wore it, also did Konan just take her ring, but weather the less Nagato or Yahiko is not currently wearing the ring.--Hidan13 (talk) 15:17, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh, another thing

About the images that illustrates the Itachi/Kisame-team's and the Sasori/Deidara-team's debutes, I think the images should show when they show their faces, because both teams show their faces during their debut episodes. Hakinu talk | Contributions 15:31, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

team

isn't safe to say that tobi and kisame will be a team?

rings

so does the databook explicitly state that the rings are linked to the kuji-in? because they seem more like astrology references to me.

also what's with the shoddy japanese? shouldn't it be minami for 南 (instead of "nan"), tama for 玉 and such?

Sealing Bijuu

Isn't it impossible now? Nagato/Pain was the only who knew the sealing jutsu and only he could summon that demonic statue to seal the Bijuu within it, so technically they can't seal Bijuu anymore (unless they got something else up their sleeve...) — DarK 11:03, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
