Takigakure
From Narutopedia
Takigakure (滝隠れの里, Takigakure; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in a Waterfall") is located in an unnamed country. In terms of the village's appearance, Takigakure seems to be based on mostly Southeast Asian aesthetics. Their current leader is Shibuki. The ninja of this village seem to specialize in water-based jutsu.
[edit] History
Around the time of the village's formation, the village tasked Kakuzu with assassinating Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage. When Kakuzu failed in this mission he was treated harshly and imprisoned, so he chose to defect. Before leaving he took the secret of the village's prized Earth Grudge Fear along with the hearts of every elder of the village. Hashirama at some point gave the village the Seven-Tailed Horned Beetle as a peace offering, making it the only village outside of the five great villages to receive one. This tailed beast was sealed into Fū, but was eventually caught and extracted by Akatsuki, resulting in Fū's death.
Takigakure has yet to be seen in the manga, but in the anime it is shown to be built around a large tree. It also, predictably, has a waterfall as a defining landmark. The village is led by Shibuki. Despite being surrounded by four other countries, Takigakure has never been successfully invaded, a feat they are very proud of. The village is renowned for being able to produce Hero Water every hundred years, which gives whoever drinks it ten times their ordinary chakra level; however, the strain of its use can prove fatal, similar to steroids.
[edit] Trivia
- The country Takigakure resides in is currently unknown, but similar to Amegakure, the country has been called Land of the Waterfall (滝の国, Taki no Kuni) by fans.
