Sumashi (スマシ, Sumashi) was a tokubetsu jōnin-level shinobi of Iwagakure.

Background

He and his group attacked Team Minato during the Third Great Shinobi War after they broke into Iwagakure territory. Congratulating the young shinobi for achieving this feat, he then attacked Kakashi. He was however presumably killed after Minato teleported to his team's side after being alerted that the kunai he gave Kakashi was thrown.

Appearance

Sumashi had a short crop of black hair, small dark eyes and thick eyebrows. He wore the standard attire of the Iwagakure shinobi complete with a forehead protector which he wore like a bandanna, flak jacket, and the single left-sleeved shirt with a lapel running down the right side of his waist and sandals.

Abilities

Though little was known of his skills, he was proficient with Earth Release techniques witnessed by his use of the Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm in an attempt to bury the members of Team Minato alive.
