This hawk is the personal summon of Sasuke Uchiha.
Appearance
While resembling a normal hawk, it is much larger in terms of size to one. It was depicted as being brown in colour and has dark markings around its eyes as well as along the sides of its beak.
Part II
Five Kage Summit Arc
During his fight with Danzō Shimura, Sasuke summoned this hawk to avoid falling off the Samurai Bridge after being injured by Danzō's Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere. Sasuke later disembarked from the bird in order to evade the Wind Release: Vacuum Wave while it flew towards them.
In the anime, the hawk further assists Sasuke in his battle by using its body and the wind to direct one of Danzō's wind-enhanced shuriken and sending it back at him, severing Danzō's right arm and having him release his grip on Sasuke, thus allowing Sasuke to slash Danzō in the chest; in the manga, it was Sasuke who severed the right arm with his Sword of Kusanagi. After Sasuke killed Danzō, the hawk was seen flying away from the battlefield.
Trivia
- Sasuke was first seen riding a hawk on the cover of chapter 1.
- In the anime when this hawk débuted, a lot of the hawk's design is lost from the manga and the markings on the side of its beak are noticeably missing.
