Following the Quicksand in the Style of a Waterfall, Gaara slams both hands palm down into the sand, creating powerful shock waves that compress the sand. Anything buried in the sand is subsequently crushed. The compressions also creates massive earthquakes.

Trivia

Using a pun common to Gaara and his jutsu, "sand waterfall" (砂瀑, sabaku) is pronounced the same as the Japanese word for "desert" (砂漠).
