Samidare (五月雨) is a genin from Amegakure.

Appearance

Samidare has spiky brown hair with a ponytail and short spiky bangs hanging over his forehead protector. He wears a green scarf around his neck, a light grey jacket and an attire reminiscent of Team Shigure.

Abilities

Little is known about Samidare's overall abilities, but he was shown to be capable of using Grudge Rain against his foes and was shown to be holding a place of authority amongst his fellow Amegakure genin.

Part I

Chūnin Exam Arc

Samidare and the other Ame genin performing Grudge Rain.

In the anime, Samidare was amongst those who failed to get past the first test of the Chūnin Exam. He along with 14 other Amegakure genin followed Team 7 and Team 10 to find out what it is they are after and if possible take it with them back to Amegakure. After failing in their first attempt the Amegakure genin attack using their technique to obtain the legacy of the Fourth Hokage, they are stopped by the intervention of Sasuke Uchiha, who proceeds to attack and defeat them all using Chidori.

• Samidare translates as "early summer rain", and is also one of the Naruto: Shippūden soundtracks.
