This article is about the Konohagakure ninja. For the inn employee of Shukuba Town, see Riichi.

Riichi (リイチ, Riichi) is a jōnin of Konohagakure.

Personality

Riichi is the type of person that would rather do what he wants instead of working. He would even complain about this. He carried a normally happy demeanour.

Appearance

Riichi has shoulder length brown hair, with bangs. His eyes have a very distinctive sunken look that gives him the appearance of being tired. He wears the standard attire of the Konoha shinobi inclusive of forehead protector and flak jacket.

Part I

Konoha Crush

Riichi was as a guard of the East Gate. He complained to his partner that he wanted to watch the Chūnin Exams and not be on guard duty.

Part II

Akatsuki Suppression Mission

Riichi was part of the Nijū Shōtai, tasked to find out information about Akatsuki. His team was sent to one of the organisation's hideouts which was infiltrated by them. However, their research bore no fruits as none of the S-rank criminals were present.

Pain's Assault

Riichi's 6 man squad — Riichi's scouting team on patrol.

Riichi was stationed outside the borders of Konoha as a scout, along with Tsuzumi Sarugaku and a small team of shinobi. After the members of his squad reports that all was well he comments that it seems as though it will be another nice day. When the Six Paths of Pain and Konan arrives, he and his team are killed. However, they are later revived when Nagato uses his Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique.

Past Arc: The Locus of Konoha

During a flashback, it was shown that Riichi was captured by ninja from the Jōmae Village and held for ransom. He was rescued in a hostage exchange for Hanare.
