The Raikage (雷影, literally meaning: Lightning Shadow) is one of the five great Kage, leader of Kumogakure and generally known as the strongest in the village. There have been five Raikage so far in the history of the village, each with the given name A (エー, Ē, Viz: Ei, English TV: Ay) except for Darui. Each Raikage has had a tag-team partner named "B" (ビー, Bī), who not only brings out the Raikage's full power, but defends them as well.[1] The Raikage works inside a central blue structure inside Kumogakure.

First Raikage
A, the First Raikage.
Main article: A (First Raikage) A (エー, Ē, Viz: Ei, English TV: Ay) was the First Raikage (初代雷影, Shodai Raikage, literally meaning: First or Founding Lightning Shadow) who founded Kumogakure in the Land of Lightning.
Second Raikage
A, the Second Raikage.
Main article: A (Second Raikage) A (エー, Ē, Viz: Ei, English TV: Ay) was the Second Raikage (二代目雷影, Nidaime Raikage, literally meaning: Second Lightning Shadow) of Kumogakure. Throughout his reign he worked hard towards building peace between the other hidden villages.
Third Raikage
A, the Third Raikage.
Main article: A (Third Raikage) A (エー, Ē, Viz: Ei, English TV: Ay) was the Third Raikage (三代目雷影, Sandaime Raikage, literally meaning: Third Lightning Shadow) of Kumogakure, renowned to be the greatest Raikage the village has ever had.[2]
Fourth Raikage
A, the Fourth Raikage.
Main article: A (Fourth Raikage) A (エー, Ē, Viz: Ei, English TV: Ay) is the Fourth Raikage (四代目雷影, Yondaime Raikage, literally meaning: Fourth Lightning Shadow) of Kumogakure.
Fifth Raikage
Darui, the Fifth Raikage.
Main article: Darui Darui (ダルイ, Darui) is a shinobi of Kumogakure and the right-hand-man of the Fourth Raikage,[3] whom he later succeeds as the Fifth Raikage (五代目雷影, Godaime Raikage, literally meaning: Fifth Lightning Shadow).
Trivia
