Ponta (ポン太) is a raccoon and the companion of the master enka music ninja, Sabu.

Five Kage Summit Arc
Ponta is apparently more observant than Sabu, as he was the first to detect Kisame Hoshigaki's presence. He attacked Kisame, but was quickly defeated. Later in the battle, Ponta was caught in Kisame's Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave technique. Killer Bee lured Kisame, who was fused with Samehada, away from Ponta and Sabu, and they were freed from the moving dome.
