Poison

Poison is a substance that is used in combat. It is used to intoxicate the intended target.

Types

There are different types of poison, some more effective than others. For example, Sasori has come up with a poison that even if slightly scratched by a blade that is touched by poison, the target will be subjected to death within three days.

Usage

Most poison users use poison through weapons. For example, Sakura puts poison on her kunais so that if she is able to cut the target with the kunai, he is instantly injected with her poison. Puppet users, such as Chiyo, Kankuro and Sasori, prefer to put poison inside their puppets so that they can activate it when they are in need. Sasori, similarly to Sakura, puts poison that is clearly noticeable on the blades of his puppet, the Third Kazekage, as well as his Iron Sand.

Poison may be used in other forms, not only as a liquid substance. It can be used in a mist form, as demonstrated by Shizune, when she used her Poison Mist technique. Inhaling the slightest bit of poison mist can proove fatal, as seen when Sasori trapped Sakura in his poison mist.

There are several insects that use poison in their attacks.

Nano Bugs

Moths
