Upon hearing this, Sasuke took this on as a personal mission. It was later revealed that he and Itachi had been doing this for several years when they were younger. In the end when the paw print is retrieved, Nekobaa reveals that this was a test set by Itachi as another hurdle for him to overcome.

Nekobaa (猫バア, Nekobaa; English TV "Granny Cat"; Literally meaning "Grandma Cat") is an old woman who lives in an abandoned city together with her granddaughter, Tamaki. She runs a supplies shop that the Uchiha clan used to use. She lives with lots of cats, including talking ones such as Denka and Hina.

Sasuke came to her to buy some items for his new team, Hebi. She told Sasuke that she remembered how Itachi and he were once "little kittens", and said that she couldn't believe they now wanted to kill each other.
