Natsuhi (ナツヒ) was the wife of Hotarubi and the mother of Sumaru.
Background
Both Hotarubi and Natsuhi had completed the star training. They stole the star after seeing the side effects of the training. They were caught by the Third Hoshikage and asked to keep an eye on the village from the outside in exchange for his discontinuing the star training. Natsuhi and Hotarubi then told the Third Hoshikage to tell Sumaru that they were dead and gave him Hotarubi's necklace to give to Sumaru. The Third then forbade Star training.
Appearance
She has jade-green-coloured eyes and long violet (originally brown) hair. She wears a Hoshigakure jōnin flak-jacket and shorts.
Abilities
As a Hoshi ninja, she could use the Mysterious Peacock Method, a technique exclusive to Hoshi. With this technique, Natsuhi could mould her chakra into various forms. She was also able to defeat Akahoshi using only her "star chakra", showing her great mastery over this technique. She was also at least knowledgeable in fūinjutsu, as she tried to seal the star.
Part I
Hoshigakure Arc
She stole the star again, and Akahoshi took her son as bait. She returned the star, then tried to steal it once again later after Akahoshi forced her to give up the star. She fell for a trap laid by Akahoshi and was hit by kunai thrown at her by Akahoshi and his henchmen, while trying to destroy the star using some form of fūinjutsu. She tried using her chakra, but it was too much on her body and she collapsed. She painted a symbol on the floor with some blood that had come out of her mouth then died. One of Sumaru's tears hit this symbol when he found her and this later formed her ghost.
After destroying the building she and Sumaru supposedly died in, Akahoshi implanted the star in his chest, greatly amplifying his chakra. Naruto Uzumaki fought Akahoshi, but was unable to harm him due to his newfound power. However, Natsuhi had performed a technique before dying that allowed her chakra to take the form of her ghost, singing the song that Sumaru and her had been singing throughout the arc. The chakra supported Naruto Uzumaki, allowing him to fly briefly during the battle, and ultimately defeat Akahoshi.
