Jūra is surprised to find Himawari instead of Naruto. Shikadai reports contact to the sensor team and requests backup. Jūra pulls out a book from his cape to confirm information on Shikadai's identity. Shikadai asks if they want to leave a message for the Hokage, but Jūra shocks them by telling them they were on Naruto's trail by follow the Nine-Tails' chakra signature. Shikadai stops Inojin from sharing info on Naruto's supposed death. Jūra is confused about it as well, delight that the world keeps raising more questions for him. He attempts to ensnare Himawari in a tree, but Shikadai stops it, allowing Inojin to pull her out, and Chōchō to catch her. Jūra is impressed by their team-work, and makes it clear they have no ill-intent with Team 10, but will attack if they keep interfering with Himawari. Shikamaru contacts Shikadai, who updates him on the God Trees' goals. Himawari is confused by their interest in her. Amado worries about Kawaki, and wonders what Jūra is. Koji notifies Boruto that the trees made a move, signaling to which toad he should teleport. Jūra confirms why they're after Himawari, confusing everyone because they thought the Nine-Tails was dead, and intends to get answers by devouring her. Read more...

Naruto thinks back to Boruto's life as he tries to wake him up in vain. Code is surprised by Boruto's death at Kawaki's hand, and the return of his Kāma. Ada warns him against considering sacrificing Kawaki in Boruto's place for the God Tree. Code threatens to kill Shikamaru if Kawaki approaches. Kawaki is indifferent, so Code releases Shikamaru and tries to escape. Kawaki stops him by shrinking his Claw Marks so Code can't use them. Kawaki mocks Code, pointing out that killing Boruto should make it clear the lengths he'll go through to protect Naruto. He goes on the offensive and pressures Code. Shikamaru goes to check on Naruto, still in disbelief and denial of what happened, and stresses that the battle still isn't over. Kawaki tells Code that if the person who wants to meet him is also against Naruto, he won't show them any mercy either, and blasts him point blank. Kawaki is knocked out, Code having pulled Daemon through the Claw Mark on his head to reflect the attack. Ada is angry that Code involved Daemon without her permission, and he apologises for waking him up. Daemon wants to fight, but Code sends him back to Ada. Read more...
