See also: Project:Forum Operator Forum Moderators are users that have tools to manage the activity in the forums. They have the ability to:

• Edit old forum archives.
• Remove or close threads that become too long, or unnecessary and derailing to the wiki.
• Edit other users' comments if those users perform the following actions:
  • Pyramid quoting.
  • Double posting.
  • Linking to illegal websites.
  • Uploading images for the sole purpose of being in the forums.
• Moderators can also remove comments altogether that are inappropriate for the forums (abusive behavior, trolling, etc).

On Narutopedia, forum moderators also have the ability to revoke their own rights. These rights must not be abused in any manner. Misuse of the forum moderator privileges will result in the privileges being removed until such a time as the administration decides the user is capable of using it properly.

It is important to note that forum operators already have the privileges of forum moderators by default. Users who are forum moderators are just users who are not necessarily a forum operator but are trusted enough to manage the forums, but don't require the ability to block users and highlight threads. A list of forum moderators can be found at: Special:ListUsers/forummod.

Notes

As of right now, Wikia has not altered their module to make privileges that forum moderators have exclusive to them, meaning any user can remove or edit threads and comments. Users who are not forum moderators are not permitted to perform such actions and must request the assistance of a forum moderator to execute the necessary actions to properly manage the forums.
