Naruto the Movie: The Last (劇場版 NARUTO -ナルト- ザ·ラスト, Gekijōban Naruto: Za Rasuto) is the seventh Naruto Shippūden movie and tenth overall Naruto movie. The movie is set to be released on December 6, 2014 in Japan, which will make it the first ever movie in the franchise to be released two years after the previous film. The movie was announced at Jump Festa in December 2012.

In July 2014, a counter on the official movie website began counting down, ending on 28th of that month. The 34th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump also released additional information, stating that the movie was released to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Naruto series and the end of itself.

Short teaser trailers were released on July 31, 2014, touting the movie as one that will connect with the next generation and go beyond the manga.[1]
