Naruto Orichara (NARUTOオリキャラ, Naruto Orikyara), short for Naruto Original Characters, is a recurring feature in the tankōbon editions of Naruto in which fans submit drawings of their own original characters. The best of these characters are then displayed across several single-page Excellent Work (優秀作, Yūshūsaku) galleries between chapters. The feature culminates with Masashi Kishimoto selecting his favourite submission and providing an illustration of the character in his own style. The feature first appeared in volume 22.
