Between the [[Land of Waves Arc]] and [[Chūnin Exam Arc]], [[Team 7]] is given a mission to search for a missing man, [[Genmai]], from the [[Inaho Village]]. While doing reconnaissance, [[Kakashi Hatake]] finds Genmai but gets stuck in a trap spell technique. [[Naruto Uzumaki]], [[Sakura Haruno]] and [[Sasuke Uchiha]] get ambushed by a group of [[missing-nin]] and their leader, [[Kajika]], who have orders from [[Orochimaru]] to test Sasuke's strength and abilities. The group kidnaps Sakura, resulting in Naruto and Sasuke teaming up to get her back. In the end, it turns out to be a flashback of Sasuke's, who is shown standing beside [[Tobi]], claiming he was remembering something frivolous.

Naruto: The Cross Roads (ザ・クロスローズ, Za Kurosurōzu) is the sixth Naruto OVA. It uses the same CGI graphics as Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm and was released during Naruto: Shippūden. This OVA premièred at the Jump Festa Anime Tour 2009.
Synopsis
