Naruto: Shippūden (NARUTO -ナルト- 疾風伝, Naruto Shippūden, literally meaning: Naruto Hurricane Chronicles) is the anime adaptation of Part II of the Naruto manga, set two-and-a-half years after Naruto Uzumaki leaves Konohagakure to train with Jiraiya. The series had 500 episodes, which originally aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from 2007 until 2017. Naruto: Shippūden can be legally accessed through sites such as Hulu (for United States users only) and Crunchyroll (for those living outside the US).

Dubbed[]

Viz distributed a subtitled version of the series on its website on Thursdays during its run in Japan. The English dub episodes 1-98 aired on television on Disney XD from Wednesday, October 28, 2009 to Saturday, November 5, 2011. The dubbed episodes aired on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. before moving to Saturdays at 11:00 p.m. When the dubbed episodes aired on Wednesdays, they were edited and censored for blood, language, and anything suggestive: however, when the time slot had changed to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night, the edits were far less noticeable. The show was cancelled on the channel after the 98th episode due to the prevalence of more violent scenes in future episodes.

The English dub episodes of 99–338 premiered uncut on streaming platform Neon Alley via Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 until the digital platform shut down in Spring 2016. Uncut dubbed episodes are released on iTunes and Amazon Video on demand. Viz Media has also released uncut DVDs of Naruto: Shippūden containing the original uncut English dub and Japanese version, on their online store.

On January 5, 2014, Adult Swim's Toonami programming block began airing Naruto: Shippūden weekly from the beginning where it still runs, starting English broadcast airdates on 339 episodes, on May 2, 2021.
