They were assigned to make sure [[Gaara]] lost to [[Sasuke Uchiha]], making their daimyō win a bet with another daimyō. Midori released a final dying scream as his body was demolished by Gaara's sand and he died. Shiba and Midori's deaths managed to quench Gaara's blood-lust, thus saving Naruto and Shikamaru from suffering the same fate. They inadvertently and unwillingly saved their lives.

Midori (ミドリ) was a chūnin from Kusagakure.

Personality

Midori seemed to be very confident in his own abilities, and showed no arguments in using underhanded tactics to help his sponsor to win a bet. However, when his partner was brutally murdered in front of him, he attempted to flee in cowardice, screaming and begging in futility.

Appearance

Midori had long grey hair and his sideburns went down into a beard. He kept his hair in a pony tail in the back and he also wore a pair of reddish-coloured glasses with black lenses. He wore a black Kusagakure bandanna-styled forehead protector which was tied in the back. He wore a big white jacket with a white shirt underneath it and a very light bluish-coloured scarf around his neck with one end of the scarf hanging down the front of him. The scarf had orange lines on it. His jacket was held closed with strings.
