A giant drum, specifically, a Taiko easily more than Tsunade's height in diameter (大太鼓, Ōdaiko), used to control Konohagakure's Mechanical Eight Trigrams Formation technique. When used, the Ōdaiko is kept on a horizontal stand on top of the Hokage Tower. The user bangs on the ōdaiko to activate the technique in order to trap the enemy in a maze of walls. Each subsequent beat will activate or deactivate more walls.
