From her mouth she spits out the viscous fluid, both the shape and the amount are determined by her. By spitting it out at short range the technique's speed increases. Trivia
- The phrase "Melting Apparition" (溶怪, Yōkai) is a pun on the Japanese words "apparition/demon" (妖怪, yōkai) and "dissolution" (溶解, yōkai).
- In the anime, up until Mei's fight against Madara Uchiha, this technique for the majority of time was colored to look like lava. During her fight with Madara, the substance produced by this technique appears closer to its manga adaptation, with colour,[2] and texture.[3]
