Karasu

Crow is Kankuro's first puppet and the most well known of the three puppets. Although it looks relatively thin, Crow is loaded with lethal weaponry, including poisoned substances, blades, and anything else that Kankuro decides to outfit it with. It has been revealed that Crow was constructed by Sasori of the Red Sands.

Usage in the Naruto series

Crow has made several appearances throughout the Naruto series.

Chunin Exams

It was going to be used against Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha and Konohamaru in Kankuro's debut, but Gaara stopped his brother from revealing the puppet. The next appearence was when he made it pose as a proctor in the first exam to give him the answers.

Preliminary rounds

Kankuro introduced the concept of puppetry jutsu with the unveiling of Crow's appearance. He used it to crush Misumi's body as payback for almost getting killed.

Invasion of Konoha Arc

Crow was used in Kankuro's fight against Shino Aburame, but Kankuro ultimately fell to Shino's jutsu.

Sasuke Retrieval Arc

Kankuro appeared in the nick of time to save Kiba Inuzuka and Akamaru from the hands of Sakon and Ukon of the Sound Five. At this point, Crow has been partnered with the puppet called the Black Ant. With this new puppet, Kankuro utilized Crow to kill Sakon and Ukon with the Art of the Iron Maiden technique.

Rescue Gaara Arc

When Deidara kidnapped Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage of the Sand village, Kankuro gave chase, and ran into Deidara's senior partner, Sasori. Although Kankuro used three puppets, Crow, Black Ant, and a recently revealed puppet called Salamander, he was quickly defeated. Crow was destroyed in this battle. It is unknown whether this puppet has been rebuilt for further use.
