J (ジェイ, Jei, Viz: Jay) was a shinobi of Kumogakure.
Appearance
J is a bald man with a Flak Jacket with one strap over one shoulder, and a black shirt underneath. He also wear a sports sunglasses and a Forehead Protector with a white cloth.
Part II
Hunt for the Eight-Tails arc
J and his partner discovered that Killer Bee was fighting members of Akatsuki while transformed into the Eight-Tailed Beast. He sent words of his discovery to the Fourth Raikage and then used his messenger lizard to follow Killer Bee's opponents. He was later discovered by Sasuke Uchiha and Jūgo before being captured. J was later found slumped against the wall of the hideout by other Kumogakure shinobi, but his condition is unknown.
Trivia
- Jei is the Japanese pronunciation of the letter "J." This parallels Shī's name, which is the pronunciation of the letter "C," and Killer Bee's name, as "bī," the Japanese pronunciation of "Bee," is also the Japanese pronunciation of the letter "B." The Fourth Raikage, also pronounces his name as "A" in English translations and "E" in Japanese.
