Team Jutsu

The Nara clan, the Yamanaka clan, and the Akimichi clan have a long history together, with an Ino–Shika–Chō group formed once a generation with one member from each clan under the leadership of a member of the Sarutobi clan. The previous Ino–Shika–Chō are the fathers of the members of Team Asuma, teamed up in their younger days and continued working together even after passing the torch to their children.

During the events of the Fourth Shinobi World War, Shikaku Nara and Inoichi Yamanaka were killed when the Allied Shinobi Forces's base of operations was destroyed by the Ten-Tails, leaving Chōza Akimichi as the group's sole surviving member.
