I have discussed this over and over and reached the agreement that if their is no vissible differences between the coloured manga image and anime image, the anime image would be prefered, amongst other because the usually fits better with the infobox. --Gojita (talk) 18:01, February 10, 2011 (UTC)Gojita

Please refer to Torune's infobox talk for this discussion. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:37, February 10, 2011 (UTC)

Deceased?[]

Who added this into infobox? Torune's Edo Tensei jutsu is still active and thus technically Fuu still lives, even if he will die instantly after ET is over.Faust-RSI (talk) 08:20, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

That's not how the technique works. Sacrificing someone kills them. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:06, October 26, 2011 (UTC)
Of course it kills. Just not in an instant. Did you miss the whole databook explanation and the whole chapter describing how ET needs LIVING sacrifice? The requirement is just like in Pain's Shapeshifting Technique. And in Shapeshifting Technique, the sacrifice is alive till the justsu is not canceled or has enough chakra. The Edo Tensei is no different. Sacrifice is technically alive till the jutsu is active.Faust-RSI (talk) 07:19, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
There are plenty of differences between Edo Tensei and Shōten, and there's ample evidence that Edo Tensei does kill the sacrifices (almost) immediately. Besides, even if it didn't, would it matter? Fū is as good as dead any way. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 10:12, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
Well, of course they are different, but mechanics have many in common. And I didn't see a single evidence of immediate or almost immediate killing of sacrifice. Wasn't it your own translation of databook entry (or maybe it was Gottheim's) that made a huge emphasis on the word "living"? Anyway, this wikia is quite precise (maybe too precise) about direct evidences and statements, especially regarding characters' age. There is no direct evidence of immediate death of sacrifices (quite the opposite), so, despite it's true Fū is as good as dead, it would be inconsistent to state we know it for sure.Faust-RSI (talk) 11:02, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
The emphasis is on the word living, because you cannot use a corpse for this technique. All it means is that, when this technique is first performed, the sacrifice needs to be alive. It says nothing about whether the sacrifice has to remain, or stays alive during the technique's duration.
As for the sacrifice remaining alive after the technique was first activated, well, it certainly isn't a prerequisite for Edo Tensei. The sacrifice would die the instant the zombies sustain a significant amount of damage. The mere placement of the fuda seems pretty lethal to me already. For all intents and purposes, Fū has died already, so I see no problem listing him as such. Still, it could be changed to 'incapacitated', I guess. After all, you are technically correct here. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 12:55, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
