"Hospital Besieged: The Evil Hand Revealed!" (しのび寄る魔の手!狙われた病室, Shinobi Yoru Ma no Te! Nerawareta Byōshitsu) is episode 58 of the original Naruto anime.

Synopsis

Baki tells Kankurō and Temari that they are suppose to watch over their brother Gaara. Kankurō and Temari go to Gaara's room and are surprised to find him missing. Naruto has slept for three days, meaning the Chūnin Exams finals will start the next day. Shikamaru gives Naruto a fruit basket originally intended for Chōji. Sakura goes to Lee's room and replaces the flower. Chōji complains of his hunger, and Ino walks in with a fruit basket for him. Gaara enters Lee's room and attempts to kill Lee while he is unconscious, but Naruto and Shikamaru immediately stop him. Gaara tells them of his past and the monster inside him. Naruto sympathasises, saying he also has a monster inside him. Gaara attempts to kill the two of them, but Guy steps in and demands Gaara to leave at once. Gaara has no choice but to do so, but before doing it, he promises that he'll kill them all.

-Shikamaru was beside Naruto. He had slept for three days and the Chunin finals is tomorrow which he was shocked. Shikamaru then give the fruits which is for [[Chōji]]. Sakura then comes inside Lee's room, putting the new flower. The scene changes to where Chōji is, saying that he's really hungry. The door opens, and what came in was a person holding a fruit basket. Chōji mistaken her as Shikamaru which is Ino.
-Gaara, finally enters Lee's room and remembers his tragedic past and tries to kill Lee (in Shukaku's control), thanks to Naruto and Shikamaru, the killing intent was stopped.

-Gaara narrates his pitiful past. Naruto saying to himself that he knows it also, having both a monster inside him. As Gaara told them he will kill them, they're almost killed thanks to [[Guy]]. Before going out in Lee's room, he swore to kill them.
