Your bloodthirstiness is giving yourself away." Kakashi said to where Gaara was hiding. Gaara simply comes out without fear and faces Sasuke and Kakashi. "Oh, it's just you." Kakashi said. Gaara gives a mean glare at Sasuke. |

"Hit it or Quit it: The Final Rounds Get Complicated!" (失格?!キケン!前倒し!波乱含みの大本戦!, Shikkaku!? Kiten! Maedaoshi! Haranbukumi no Daihonsen!) is episode 63 of the original Naruto anime.

Synopsis
Genma announces that Naruto is the winner. Sakura resolves to get stronger too because she envied Naruto. Asuma, Kurenai Yūhi, and the Third Hokage were all surprised to see Naruto able to control the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's chakra on command. After some medical-nin take Neji into a room to treat his injuries, Hiashi Hyūga comes in the room, despite the medical-nin insisting he doesn't. Hiashi then hands him a scroll, and Neji realises it is in his father's handwriting. The scroll then described the truth that took place during the Hyūga Affair many years ago. It stated that Hiashi was willing to die in order to protect Konoha. The Hyūga Elder said that the Byakugan is the Hyūga Head Family's duty to protect it and that's why Branch Family exist. Hiashi then says that his brother chose death over Hiashi in order to save Neji, family, and for the sake of his village. Hiashi then bowed his head to Neji, begging for his forgiveness. Neji then asked his uncle to raise his head, and proclaimed his goal was to become stronger. After many complaints that Sasuke was late against his match with Gaara, the Third Hokage decided to postpone the match. Kankurō then forfeits his match with Shino Aburame, allowing him to win by default. The next match is to be between Temari and Shikamaru Nara.

- At the very beginning of the episode, in a shot of Naruto, the characteristic whisker marks on his face are gone.
