- Despite that this technique erases the user's scent, when it was used by Karenbana, she was discovered by Sakura Haruno due to her wearing too much perfume.[2]
- In the anime-exclusive Land of Birds Arc, when Kakashi Hatake summoned Pakkun, he was able to pick up Nagare's scent, despite the fact that he was using this technique.[3]
