Kakashi questions the latter on the circumstances of his death but ultimately ends up forgiving him. In these same moments, [[Nagato]] releases his technique to resuscitate the casualties of his devastated invasion. The other villagers watched as they are revived, in shock. Nagato uses his last bit of [[chakra]] at this point and uses whatever energy he has left to verbally entrust his dream of peace to Naruto before dying, which Naruto accepts. [[Konan]] expresses that she will quit from the [[Akatsuki]] and capitulates to [[Konoha]] as a sign of peace. Encasing, Nagato's and [[Yahiko]]'s body, she and [[Naruto]] go their separate ways. Naruto then has a modest shrine made in [[Jiraiya]]'s honour where he places [[The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi (novel)|Jiraiya's book]] and the flowers of hope given to him by Konan using paper has 'the flowers that will never wilt'. He prays for his master and leaves. As Naruto walks back to his home, he begins to collapse in fatigue. He is then caught by a revived Kakashi and he is carried home, he notes that the relaxed Naruto has gotten much more difficult to carry than at a younger age. He takes him back to Konoha where the villagers anticipate the return of their new hero, and Naruto is welcomed warmly and saluted by many high-ranking ninja. [[Fukasaku]] is alive and with Shima and [[Gamakichi]]. Naruto's classmates praise his new strength are glad to see him. [[Hinata]] cries pleased that Naruto is okay. [[Sakura]] seems to standout amongst them, she goes and gives Naruto a hard knock on his head for being so reckless, but then embraces him with a hug and thanks him, also pleased he's okay, despite how she shows it. [[Ebisu]] and [[Iruka]] think about Naruto's past and growth. Iruka cries seeing Naruto is no longer an outcast, he has now saved the entire village.
