"Hate Among the Uchihas: The Last of the Clan!" (愚かなる弟よ　恨め、憎め!, Orokanaru Otōto yo Urame, Nikume!) is episode 85 of the original Naruto anime.

Synopsis

Kisame's would-be fatal attack is blocked by Gama, and Jiraiya tells the two Akatsuki members that cheap tricks like putting a young woman under genjutsu would never work on him. Standing to his feet again, Sasuke tells the Sannin to stay out of his fight but is easily beaten down by Itachi who tells his brother that he was still too weak. Deeming it necessary to make him stronger, Itachi activated Tsukuyomi and forced Sasuke to relive his parent's and other clan member's death. As Naruto rushes forward to aid his comrade, Kisame prepared to attack him, but Jiraiya uses the Summoning: Toad Mouth Bind technique to stop the two Akatsuki members. The entire area became the oesophagus of the Mountain Toad, with Kisame's foot and sword already starting to be absorbed as Jiraiya began explaining his technique. Sasuke was absorbed into the wall, thus being saved from Itachi. Itachi instructed Kisame to come with him, knowing that the only way they could survive this technique was to escape. Itachi was forced to use Amaterasu to burn a hole in the toad's oesophagus, allowing them to escape. Jiraiya later sealed away the flames. As Jiraiya and Naruto were checking on Sasuke, Guy suddenly appeared out of nowhere and kicked the Sannin in the face with his Dynamic Entry. He had thought that Naruto and Jiraiya were Itachi and Kisame after using the reflection from his forehead protector to check what was ahead. He had seen two figures in the dull reflection, so he had automatically assumed that Itachi and Kisame were still there. Naruto thought back on Sasuke's defeat at Itachi's hands. He resolved to go after Itachi and Kisame for doing that to Sasuke, but was quickly shot down by a more realistic Jiraiya, who knew that Naruto was nowhere near Itachi and Kisame's league. Naruto learned about Kakashi having been injured, and Guy talked about needing a medical specialist to help, not only with Kakashi and Sasuke, but with Lee as well. Jiraiya told Guy the person he needed was who they were searching for: the healing specialist, queen of slugs and elixirs, legendary Sannin, and failed gambler, Tsunade.

-The episode starts off with Jiraiya ranting about his greatness in a spotlight with the woman from the last episode thrown over his shoulder, unconscious. The scene goes back to normal with Sasuke on the ground and a freaked out Naruto being narrowly saved from Kisame's Samehada by one of Jiraiya's toad summons. It's revealed that the woman had a genjutsu cast on her to keep Jiraiya "occupied" and separate him from Naruto, whom Itachi and Kisame are really after.
-The beaten down Sasuke gets up and tells Jiraiya (who is already talking about getting rid of both the Akatsuki members) to stay out of the fight, declaring that he's going to fight Itachi, no one else. Itachi tries to blow his brother off by stating his lack of interest. Sasuke's response is running towards his Nii-San, ready to punch, but getting kicked in the stomach all the way to the wall on the other side of the hallway before he can even touch the elder Uchiha. Naruto attempts to intervene, seeing his friend getting hurt, but stops in his tracks when the stubborn Sasuke yells once again to stay out of it. Sasuke activates his Sharingan after he drags himself up from the floor, the images of Itachi standing over his parents' corpses flashing through his head.
-Once again, Sasuke uses a direct approach and runs towards his brother with all of his might with a fist ready. Itachi stops it easily with a single hand pushing Sasuke's aside. At this point, as a result of Sasuke's running stance and the height difference, Sasuke's head is fairly low. Itachi takes this opportunity to knee the younger Uchiha hard in the face. Itachi then shoves Sasuke away with a single fluid motion of the same arm that had stopped Sasuke in the first place, now throwing Sasuke in a spiral back towards the wall. Sasuke is now so beaten down, he can't make hand signs.
-Jiraiya makes an attempt to help Sasuke when he sees the boy's state and Itachi advancing towards him slowly, but Kisame stops him, this fight is none of their business. The second Itachi is glowering over Sasuke, Sasuke attempts to land a blow once again and jolts up towards his brother. Itachi knees Sasuke once again. As Sasuke bends over in pain, Itachi elbows him in the back of the neck to push him towards his knee, Itachi then knees Sasuke again. Naruto watches in horror as his friend is beaten badly by his brother. Sasuke finally collapses to the ground when Itachi stops keeping him upright with his beating, and Sasuke thinks to himself about how he is still weaker than his brother and he wonders what he's been doing all this time if he's still not strong enough.
-Itachi drags Sasuke up by his collar and slams him against a wall. Itachi goes on about Sasuke being too weak, lacking the hatred he would need. He leans close to his brother saying that Sasuke never will have enough hate.
-Itachi proceeds to activate his [[Tsukuyomi]] Genjutsu and mentally torture his little brother. Sasuke is a little eight-year-old again and cries when he recognizes the place he'd been transported to as his childhood home. Itachi tortures Sasuke by making him watch himself murder their parents; afterwords, he makes Sasuke watch him kill the rest of the clan in Sasuke's eight-year-old body. The illusion ends, as Sasuke screams.
-Naruto, tired of watching his friend being tortured, tries to run to the rescue, Kisame right behind him who must of been caught off guard. During this, Jiraiya makes hand signs for a jutsu. Everyone stops right away as his [[Summoning: Toad Mouth Bind]] (Kuchiyose: Gamaguchi Shibari), or Ninja Art: Toad Mouth Trap as it is said in the English version, takes effect. The entire area becomes the esophagus of the Mountain Toad, and Kisame's foot and sword are already starting to be absorbed as Jiraiya goes into his explanation of his jutsu. Sasuke is absorbed into the wall and saved from Itachi. Itachi instructs Kisame to come with him, knowing the only way they can survive this is to escape.
-The toad's esophageal flesh pursues the Akatsuki members, and as the two are about to be engulfed, Itachi uses his Sharingan to cause quite a stir. Naruto and Jiraiya rush to the scene to see the black flames of the powerful jutsu, Amaterasu, along the edges of a large hole through which the two ninja had escaped. Itachi and Kisame flee, Itachi saying they will capture Naruto and the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox when the time is right. He also needs to rest after using both Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu. The flames of Amaterasu are so powerful that Jiraiya had to seal them before they spread any farther. Jiraiya ends his jutsu and Naruto goes to Sasuke.
-Gai suddenly appears out of nowhere (or so it seems) and kicks Jiraiya in the face with his Dynamic Entrance... He had thought that Naruto and Jiraiya were Itachi and Kisame after using a reflection from his headband to see what was ahead. He saw too figures in the dull reflection, so he automatically assumed. Naruto reminisces about Sasuke's beat down at the hands of Itachi. Naruto resolves to going after Itachi and Kisame for doing this to Sasuke, but is shot down by a more realistic Jiraiya who sees that Naruto is nowhere near Itachi and Kisame's league. Naruto learns about Kakashi being injured, and Gai talks about needing a medical specialist to help not only with Kakashi and Sasuke, but with Lee as well. We get a short glance at Tsunade at the end as Jiraiya tells Gai the person he's talking about is who they're looking for, the healing specialist, Queen of slugs and elixirs, legendary Sanin, and gambler extraordinaire, Tsunade.
