In the anime, Hakui is seen with Yūgao, examining three corpses of shinobi that she confirms are elites with kekkei genkai and clans. As Yokaze brought the fourth corpse, he and Hakui watch Yūgao sealing four corpses in the scroll. After Yūgao left leaving the scroll to Hakui, Yokaze comments about Yūgao's skills and Hakui states the latter was used to be an Anbu. To Yokaze's surprise, he asks why would a former Anbu like Yūgao be part of the Logistical Support and Medical Division. Hakui answers she's not sure, but states it helps as she leaves to store the KIA scroll.[2]
