Guren (グレン, Guren) was a prisoner at Orochimaru's Northern Hideout.
Background
At some point in the past he received a cursed seal in the course of Orochimaru's experiments.
Personality
He is extremely violent and cruel; he is also unable to control his lust for battle.[1]
Appearance
Guren has long shaggy orange hair. When activated, the cursed seal he possesses resembles vines as it spreads across his body. In its level two state he grew wing-like protrusions from his forearms and a broad flat tail. While in his second state he had two horns one sprouting from each side of his forehead and two more one coming from each side of his cheeks. He also wore a white T-shirt and a white pair of shorts. In his second state, his eyes turned black with the centre being a yellowish colour. His face is all jagged-like and around his mouth, there is a darkish colour.
Abilities
He was able to enter the second state of the cursed seal, but was powerful enough to brutally massacre all the prison guards with just the first state.[2] He was powerful enough to kill a man with just a single blow to the head. He could also jump down from really tall places and use appendages that grew on his arms while in second state to cushion his fall.
Part II
Itachi Pursuit Mission
After the prisoners had heard rumours of Orochimaru's death and began to revolt, Guren escaped and after entering the first stage of his cursed seal, brutally killed a number of guards who tried to subdue him. He later escaped to the outside where he encountered Sasuke Uchiha and his group, but was quickly cut down by him.
Trivia
- In the third databook, his name was given as Glen, another possible translation of グレン (guren).
