The Giant Squid is a large cephalopod that inhabits the waters around the island where Killer Bee and A trained at. It serves as a guardian of the island attacking anyone that comes near it, even Kumogakure ninja. He seems to be one of the more hostile animals of the island. When the Kumogakure ship that was carrying Naruto and his bodyguards, it attacked the ship but was stopped by Killer Bee in his Eight-Tailed Giant Ox form. It later attacked Motoi after he came to find Naruto. Yamato and Naruto tried to rescue him but once again Bee was quicker. The squid is later seen encountering Second Manda, and was torn to shreds after getting in the giant cloned snake's way.
