Itachi Pursuit Arc

It is summoned during Pain's fight with Jiraiya, where it uses the Water Release: Wild Bubble Wave technique to wash Jiraiya's oil off Konan. It was later defeated by Jiraiya's Wild Lion's Mane Technique.

Invasion of Pain Arc

In the anime, the crustacean is summoned once again during Pain's invasion of Konoha to rampage in the village.
