This giant centipede is a summon of Pain.
Appearance
This giant centipede summon has a number of body piercings and the Rinnegan, implying it is being controlled by Pain.
Abilities
Though not much was seen of its abilities, it did use its body to demolish buildings in Konohagakure.
Part II
Invasion of Pain Arc
It is summoned during Pain's attack on Konoha to wreak havoc on the village and cause confusion. It was however killed by a single punch from Sakura Haruno.
Trivia
- In the anime, instead of one centipede summoned, three are summoned. One was still killed by Sakura and a second by Shikamaru Nara while protecting Kurenai Yūhi. It is unknown if the third was killed off-screen or if it was de-summoned before Pain destroyed the village but it was seen when Moegi went to save Sota who was trapped under a building.[1]
