The {{translation|'''Gatō Company'''|ガトーカンパニー|Gatō Kanpanī|engtv=Gato Transport}} is the shipping company operated by [[Gatō]]. Though apparently a simple import/export business, this is actually a front for smuggling illegal goods and selling drugs. Gatō has become the richest man in the world as a result, and so he goes to great lengths to protect his interests. Through blackmail and murder, Gatō takes over rival companies and areas of interest. Shortly before the start of the series he takes control of the [[Land of Waves]] and monopolises all of its transportation, cutting the country off from the outside world and destroying its economy.
