♫♪Here we go againnnn I think I wanna be more that fr-oh wait <_< >_> Uhm I think this article will probably pop up continuously if we don't decide on a general standard for all these articles. So if it's possible manyhaps we can create a page that redirects from the main article page to a "List of unknown clan members" and when or if they are named they can then graduate to an article page with infobox y todo? Something like this page layout.--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 11:45, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

Did we talked about this unknown members, to just put them in one single article lol! Maybe we separate if ever the next databook gave their names. --Ilnarutoanime 11:46, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
I think a list of unknown characters is the best option. I see no point in creating articles for people who only appeared once and didn't do anything important to the plot. I don't like the fact that we are creating articles for unnamed characters who have barely done anything.--Deva 27 16:12, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
But we have to set perimeters for the "unknown" or else we'll end up with a list filled with people who will probably never be named.--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 16:24, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
Shouldn't we put him in the Inuzuka clan article? --Ilnarutoanime 16:32, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
Not sure what you mean, but he's already listed under "Other clan Members" in the article.--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 16:52, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
I've never liked articles on unnamed characters or jutsu. Never ever. Unless it's painfully obvious that it will be named in the the next databook, I don't think it should have an article. Reasons include:
  1. The articles are rarely linked to. That means they exist solely for someone to find with Special:Random.
  2. On the occasions that the articles are linked to, the articles that link to them are typically equally informative. What does the link in, "Minato was teamed with a member of the Inuzuka clan," provide that the sentence it appears in doesn't?
  3. These articles' existence lead to really questionable standards of inclusion. As Cerez points out, we have an article on a character that appears in one panel. Granted, characters like this have been named in databooks before, but we didn't create the articles until they had the name.
So I'd like to see many of these articles deleted. I don't even care for the clan lists that much because they scream of, "Hey, did you notice that? 'Cause we did."
(Possible exceptions to unnamed stuff come courtesy of the anime. Nameless, single-episode villains have no hope of ever being named, yet are sometimes easier to refer to if they have an article.) ~SnapperTo 19:01, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

How peculiar is it, that this forum talk came in right after i created the page about our new clan Inuzuka member. Vecanoi (talk) 19:08, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

It'd be even more peculiar if you were the first one to create it no?--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 19:12, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

So are we going to make a list of unnamed characters or what? There are a lot of unnamed characters that I believe do not deserve to have articles.--Deva 27 22:01, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

While I'd have no problem if we deleted the articles, I would nevertheless like to see the information reflected somewhere on the wiki. Despite however "look hur" it is, i'd like to think at least one person reads it and goes "O_O f'realz?" and finds it even a bit informative.

  • edit: I think we should or at least find a good way to represent the information since most of the time it's unnamed clan members that get articles. Just create an article creation standard and stick to it.--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 22:17, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

I share the opinion that the information should be listed somewhere, even if not in its own article. For clan members, I think a section in the clan's article is enough until a character gets a databook profile, if they do. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 02:42, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

I assume people know how to find this if they're interested, but I'll provide it anyway. Here's a list of all the unnamed (in some sense) characters on the wiki:

Oh dear Buddah =\ Uhm... I really was just thinking about the "unnamed"/ "unknown" clan members and one and two of the others I saw listed.--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 03:00, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

So I went through Snapper's query list , and I think I found at least 20 articles that are unnecessary (made a lil diagram y todo) but that's just one person's opinion. But we could start from all the clan members with "unknown" or "unnamed" and work from there?-Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 05:25, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

So what's now Cerez? --Ilnarutoanime 17:27, June 22, 2011 (UTC)
