See here. Stitched together images from different sources are not official material, they are considered fanart. Simant deleted an image which had stitched together images because it's not a legitimate scene from the anime. Snapper2 is clueless and claims that this is perfectly fine, but it's not. Please discuss. --Speysider Talk Page | My Image Uploads | Tabber Code | Channel 20:50, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

I don't see anything particularly bad about images like that, like the one we have of Yamato in the Hashirama clone tree. If necessary, I think an extra mentioned can be made, saying it's a panshot or something like that. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:50, February 7, 2013 (UTC)
I agree. Mention it in the image summary that it's a panned image and we're good to go. If they're necessary to use, doesn't look choppy like cut and paste, then I don't see why not. We use quite a few as it is any way.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 16:36, February 8, 2013 (UTC)
Then why was an image that was stitched together from multiple frames deleted, cited as being fanart ? If one deleted for that reason, then the rest should all follow suit. There should not be rules made up for individual cases, but not being retroactively used across every image which meets the criterion for the image that was deleted. --Speysider Talk Page | My Image Uploads | Tabber Code | Channel 12:39, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
If you're referring to the image of the dead Ame Orphans, that and this are two different things. These images are taken from a moving shot, while you literally had to take three different images for the other and copy and paste them together in an editor.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 13:12, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

I don't understand the issue here at all. You can't say that these are complete independent scenes, it is in fact just one scene, where the camera just pans from the bottom to the top. There is a certain option for some videoplayers that is called "pan&scan", so scenes like this can be shown as a whole. I don't see any problem using a merged image, as long as the two (or more) parts aren't seperated from each other by another cut from a different scene.Norleon (talk) 13:45, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
