Since the stats has been targeted for vandalism so much, even by confirmed users, could we move the stats to the infoboxes? They don't need to be edited that much compared to the articles, so the can be better protected. Jacce | Talk 07:57, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

I support this proposal as I too have seen the numbers vandalized multiple times. ¥ Super Novice Talk 2 Me ¥ 18:01, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
My only issue here is that, it could make the infobox longer than they already are.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 16:07, February 10, 2010 (UTC)
If it can be done without ruining the layout, I see no real problem with this. Although I think they would be better off in the abilities section. Perhaps a separate infobox could be made that can be placed there? --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 16:49, February 10, 2010 (UTC)
It should be possible to generate a nice stats graph using <canvas> or RaphaëlJS. It should be possible to include the stats in the infobox in a small table or something and replace it with a graph through JS. Most readers are probably using a browser that something like that'll work on. That was my original plan for stats inside the infobox. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Feb 10, 2010 @ 17:16 (UTC)
If you can point me to a wikia type page that uses either method, i could try to learn how to do it. Simant (talk) 17:37, February 10, 2010 (UTC)
Since there's no reason to edit stats between databooks, some setup that allows them to be fully protected would be convenient. ~SnapperTo 19:09, February 10, 2010 (UTC)
We could store them in a naming style like, Infobox:Character Name Stats, and protect them. Simant (talk) 20:31, February 13, 2010 (UTC)
So... uh, copy the stats like I did for Infobox:Sasuke Uchiha Stats, and replace it on the page with {{Stats}}. That way you can fully protect the stats in that location, and not have to protect the entire page. Simant (talk) 07:29, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you! ^_^ Jacce | Talk 07:44, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, instead of copying and pasting use, Form:Stats while following the proper syntax. stuff like ,,2 will only value 2 in the third databook. stuff like 1,,2 will list in first and third. Simant (talk) 08:22, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Assuming we can't come up with some sort of cascading protection, individually protecting stats may not be necessary. There isn't any obvious, easy way to edit these stats, so you'd need to know what you're doing if you want to make a change. Most of the wonderful people offering their input, fortunately, do not seem to know what they're doing most of the time. ~SnapperTo 20:02, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Yah, but if someone who does know what they are doing edits it, and someone else sees it in recent changes. Simant (talk) 20:03, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
